Abstract

In English language teaching process, assessment has an important tool for examining the students’ skill and knowledge. The results of the teaching and learning process must be evaluated by teachers. During the assessment, the teacher can collect information or have the pictures explained. Curriculum in SMP is using 2013 curriculum. It needs to be evaluated in content and face validity. The objectives of the research are to identify content validity and face validity analysis on 9th grade’ final test items for secondary school level. The methodology used to perform this study was descriptive qualitative. The test's content validity was assessed using the qualitative analysis. Data collection for this study used the documentary analysis approach. The writers examine the validity of the content using the specification table and the English curriculum for grade 9 before calculating each item's number according to the competencies and indicators. While analyzing facial validity, the author used an English test file. Findings of this research showed that all of the items tested are covered in the indicators and competencies based on the table specification and English syllabus.

Abstract

This paper explores the progress made in English language teaching through the English Teacher Working Group (MGMP) in Indonesia, with a specific focus on teachers’ self-awareness, perception, and feedback. The study examines the ways in which teachers engage in self-reflection, seek feedback, and refine their teaching practices to enhance their effectiveness as educators and create a conducive learning environment.  By analyzing the impact of the English Teacher Working Group program on teachers’ professional development and collaboration, the study highlights the importance of regular meetings, workshops, and collaborative projects in facilitating the exchange of ideas and best practices among teachers. Purposive sampling was used combined with a survey questionnaire and interviews to acquire the data. The findings demonstrated that self-development as an element of professional development is often viewed favorably by EFL teachers. The feedback on the English Teacher Working Group program (MGMP) showed that most teachers find the program vital for advancing their teaching skills. However, there were concerns regarding the duration of the program and the need for more time for relevant theories and feedback. Overall, the results suggest that EFL teachers have positive perceptions of self-development and the MGMP program, but there may be areas for improvement. Through this research, the concept of MGMP emphasizes the significance of self-awareness, perception, and feedback in enhancing teaching practices and fostering collaboration, contributing to the continuous improvement of English language education and the development of competent English language learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dinamika pengambilan keputusan manajerial pada perusahaan keluarga yang kerap diwarnai oleh interaksi antara kepentingan bisnis dan ikatan emosional keluarga. Fenomena ini menarik untuk dikaji karena perusahaan keluarga memainkan peran penting dalam menopang perekonomian, terutama di Indonesia, tetapi sering menghadapi dilema dalam proses pengambilan keputusan yang melibatkan aspek rasional dan afektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tiga metode utama, yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan untuk menggali perspektif subjektif para pemimpin dan anggota keluarga yang terlibat dalam manajemen, sedangkan observasi partisipatif memungkinkan peneliti mengamati langsung dinamika interaksi sehari-hari dalam pengambilan keputusan. Sementara itu, studi dokumentasi digunakan untuk menelusuri arsip, laporan internal, maupun catatan rapat yang memberikan gambaran utuh mengenai pola keputusan yang diambil. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keputusan manajerial pada perusahaan keluarga seringkali merupakan hasil kompromi antara logika bisnis dan nilai kekeluargaan, sehingga berimplikasi pada keberlanjutan dan stabilitas perusahaan. Selain itu, terdapat kecenderungan dominasi figur tertentu dalam keluarga yang memengaruhi arah keputusan strategis, meskipun kadang menimbulkan potensi konflik internal. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam kajian manajemen strategis serta praktis bagi perusahaan keluarga untuk merumuskan mekanisme pengambilan keputusan yang lebih seimbang, transparan, dan adaptif terhadap tantangan bisnis modern

Abstract

The prevalence of diabetes increases in line with lifestyle changes such as lack of exercise and often consume unhealthy foods such as fast food (fast food), which occurs in many countries today. For now, diabetes can attack anyone, including children, adolescents, adults and parents. This socialization and education activity aims to help reduce the number of people with diabetes mellitus in RT 06 Village Suka Maju. Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that is always included in the ranking of 10 most diseases based on he number of visits at the Penarik Puskesmas Mukomuko Regency. The method used in socialization and education is the translation of diabetes mellitus such as risk factors, complications, discipline in taking drugs and dietary mellitus diet. In addition to the translation there is also an educational video that is played before the start of counseling to all the elderly present. Thus it is expected that public knowledge about diabetes mellitus will be even greater so that it will be able to reduce the rate of growth of people with diabetes mellitus.
