Abstract

This article discusses the impact of gadget use on children at Madrasah At-Ta’awun, Tasikmalaya, West Java, with the main focus on preventing excessive gadget use and potential negative effects on children's psychology, learning achievement, and quality of life. Based on the author's community service, the majority of children at Madrasah At-Ta’awun are engaged in religious education through the madrasah, and some of them already have access to gadgets. Gadget usage tends to be focused on entertainment, such as playing games and exploring social media. To address this issue, the author suggests utilizing information technology through instructional videos that explain the dangers of excessive gadget use, preventive measures, and discussion sessions. Rewards in the form of food are given to active participants. This solution plan aims to provide understanding and change children's behavior regarding gadget use at Madrasah At-Ta’awun.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the Discovery Learning model in IPAS education to assess the learning interest of elementary school students, particularly in the material on plant body functions. Discovery Learning is a learning approach that emphasizes the process of self-discovery and is expected to encourage students' interest in learning. The research method used is qualitative. The subjects of the study are fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Cibeber. The research instruments used include observation, observation sheets, questionnaires, and feasibility sheets. The results of the study indicate that students are more active and enthusiastic in learning with the Discovery Learning model. Through observations and questionnaires, students show that their involvement encourages interest in learning IPAS, with an average score of 85%. Thus, the implementation of Discovery Learning is effective in fostering students' interest in learning.

Abstract

Pemilihan jenis persalinan merupakan aspek penting dalam pelayanan kebidanan yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor maternal. Angka tindakan operatif seperti sectio caesarea terus meningkat, bahkan melebihi batas rekomendasi WHO. Identifikasi faktor risiko yang memengaruhi jenis persalinan diperlukan untuk mendukung intervensi yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara jarak kehamilan, paritas, indeks massa tubuh (IMT), dan komplikasi kehamilan terhadap jenis persalinan pada ibu bersalin di RSUD Bandung Kiwari dan PMB sekitar Bandung Raya. Desain penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel sebanyak 145 ibu bersalin diambil secara purposive sampling dari rekam medis periode Januari–Desember 2024. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji chi-square. Sebagian besar ibu bersalin mengalami komplikasi kehamilan (94,48%), memiliki status IMT overweight (64,44%), dan paritas grande multipara (57,24%). Jenis persalinan terbanyak adalah sectio caesarea (82,76%). Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa seluruh variabel (jarak kehamilan, paritas, IMT, dan komplikasi kehamilan) berhubungan signifikan terhadap jenis persalinan (p = 0,001).
