Abstract

This discussion focuses on social studies education at the tertiary level, with an emphasis on challenges and strategies to overcome laziness in learning. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study at the college. The research involved two lecturers as well as 30 students from the college. The results showed variations in students' interest and engagement with social studies subjects, with some students showing high interest, while others were less interested. The lecturers used various strategies to increase students' interest, such as relating the material to everyday life, using learning media such as videos and interactive technology, and involving students in practical activities such as group projects. The findings also show that many students feel bored and lazy with monotonous and less interactive teaching methods, so they tend to lose interest in learning. The implication of this study is the need to continuously innovate in teaching approaches to maintain students' interest and maximize the potential of social studies learning at the tertiary level.

Abstract

In general, this study aims to determine the effect of teaching methods teachers and motivation to learn the results of learning subjects IPS MA students. Mambaus Shoihin Suci Manyar Gresik. Specifically the purpose of this study are (1) Describe the influence of teaching methods teachers to the results of learning subjects IPS Senior High School students. Mambaus Shoihin Suci Manyar Gresik. (2) Describe the influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes ips subjects students MA. Mambaus Shoihin Suci Manyar Gresik. (3) Describe the influence of together teaching methods of teachers and learning motivation on the learning outcomes subjects IPS students MA. Mambaus Sholihin Suci Manyar Gresik.             The population in this study were Senior High School students. Mambaus Shoihin Suci Manyar Gresik academic year 2016/2017 which then taken a sample of 33 students. The data of research about teaching method of teacher and learning motivation is obtained through questionnaire method by using likert scale and student learning result data on IPS subjects obtained from semester 1. Next data is analyzed by using multiple regression technique with computer assistance program of SPSS For Windows version 11.5.           From multiple linear regression analysis test "F test" and "t test" in table correlations. Obtained that the influence of teaching methods teachers is 0.672 which means there is a high enough influence from the teaching methods of teachers to the results of learning subjects Social Studies thus hypothesis 1 received significantly. From the correlations table obtained that the effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes is 0.799 which means there is a high influence between learning motivation and learning outcomes, thus hypothesis 2 received significantly. From the t test model obtained the influence between the teaching methods of teachers and learning motivation by the same to the results of the blajar is 0.732 which means there is a significant influence between the influence of teaching methods of teachers and learning motivation on the results of learning subjects IPS.            Based on the anova then sig = 0.000 (A) which <o.05, from the analysis of coefficient dibermenated by 49.4% and the remaining 50.6% influenced by other factors. So in conclusion there is influence of teaching methods of teachers and motivation to learn the results Learning in addition to the influence of teaching methods, learning motivation seen from the results of the F test then the price significant 0.001 (A) states that the influence of teaching methods, learning motivation to IPS learning results are very convincing thus hypothesis 3 is received significantly.          Based on the results of hypothesis testing obtained conclusion that there is a significant relationship and have a positive correlation direction between the influence of teaching methods teachers and student learning outcomes.ada significant relationship and have a positive correlation direction between the motivation of learning with learning outcomes.secara there is a relationship that Significant and have a positive correlation direction between the influence of teaching methods and learning motivation with student learning outcomes.           For the sake of perfection of the results of this study, then follow-up research to be conducted by other researchers is expected. In the form of research development of other variable variables or in the form of deepening and sharpening research on concrete things. So the results of this study becomes more useful in improving Quality IPS students MA Mambaus Sholihin suci Manyar Gresik.

Abstract

Bullying is a repeated aggressive behavior carried out by one or more individuals to hurt, intimidate, or dominate others who are considered weaker or different. Bullying in the Generation Z era has drastically changed with the development of digital technology and social media. In addition to physical and verbal forms, bullying now more frequently occurs in the virtual world, known as cyberbullying. Generation Z, growing up alongside technological advancements, is more vulnerable to this form of aggressive behavior, as much of their social interaction takes place on digital platforms. Similarly, bullying remains a serious issue in various school environments, particularly at SMPN 1 Gending, Probolinggo Regency, where bullying behavior between students still frequently occurs. Although the school has made significant efforts by tightening regulations and increasing discipline among students, bullying, both physical and verbal, remains widespread among students. The school's efforts to create a safe and supportive environment through the enforcement of strict rules and prevention programs do not seem to have fully succeeded in reducing the frequency of bullying incidents. This situation indicates that more comprehensive and continuous interventions are needed, including educational approaches, increased parental involvement, and the development of students' social and empathetic skills, to effectively address bullying behavior at the school. This research aims to analyze the forms of bullying at SMPN 1 Gending, Probolinggo Regency, in the context of Social Studies (IPS) learning in 7th grade during the Generation Z era. This research employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research design. Data collection techniques in this study include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data validity is ensured through source triangulation and method triangulation. The data analysis techniques involve data collection, data reduction, data verification, and data conclusion. The informants in this study consist of 7th-grade Social Studies teachers and Counseling teachers at SMPN 1 Gending. The results of this study are as follows: 1) The forms of bullying that occur at SMPN 1 Gending include physical bullying (involving acts of physical violence such as hitting, pushing, etc.), verbal bullying (involving insults, mockery, or negative comments), social bullying (including social exclusion), and cyberbullying (a form of bullying through digital media). 2) The strategies implemented to address the issue of bullying at SMPN 1 Gending include socialization, incorporating bullying topics into classroom lessons, summoning problematic students by counseling teachers, and calling parents of students involved in bullying.

Abstract

Minat belajar merupakan faktor penting yang yang mempengaruhi siswa dalam proses belajar. Sebagai faktor dasar, minat belajar mempengaruhi pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang di berikan oleh guru serta kesuksesan siswa dalam meraih hasil maksimal di akhir pembelajaran. Artikel ini memaparkan hasil penelitian pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group Pree-Test Post-Test yang bertujuan untuk mengatahui pengaruh media crossword puzzle terhadap peningkatan minat belajar siswa kelas XI A  pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di MA SITHA RACEK. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 30 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Uji yang di lakukan adalah uji normalitas (Shapire-Wilk) dan uji T-Test (Paired Sample T-Test). Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,138 (Pre-Test) dan 0,353 (Post-Test) yang menunjukkan signifikansi > 0,05 dan berdistribusi normal. Rata-rata hasil siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan menggunakan media Crossword Puzzle meningat dari 70,86 menjadi 81,96, dengan hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 (berpengaruh). Dapat di simpulkan bahwa penggunaan media Crossword Puzzle memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan minat belajar siswa.
