Abstract

The Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together emerged from a 2019 meeting between Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad al-Tayyeb, in Abu Dhabi. Motivated by deep concern over global suffering and crises, the two religious leaders sought to articulate a vision of unity and peace. Decades earlier, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in response to the aftermath of World War II. Although separated by 71 years, these two documents share fundamental connections. This article explores the intersection of religion and the secular realm, as demonstrated by these texts. A comparative examination highlights the significant role of religious leaders in advocating for human rights beyond theological contexts. The study draws on desk research, incorporating primary data from both documents and secondary sources from academic journals and international organizations. Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutics approach was applied to analyze their themes and implications. Findings reveal two key points of convergence. First, both documents emphasize seven types of human rights. Second, religious and world leaders express a shared commitment to peace and the protection of human dignity. The role of religious figures in human rights enforcement is evident in their call for collective action, urging believers to unite against injustice and wrongdoing.

Abstract

Space weather refers to the dynamic condition of the sun and space environment and also its impacts on the technology system. Space weather influences human life because human depends on space assets like communication satellite and navigation. If there is a problem related to space weather, humans on Earth will feel it. This paper answers a question on how is international cooperation to overcome the negative impacts of space weather. The aim of this paper is to elaborate and analyze international cooperation to overcome the negative impacts of space weather by using international organization and cooperation theory. This paper used a descriptive method by describing the negative impacts of space weather and the international cooperation that has been conducted to overcome them. International Space Weather Initiative (ISWI), International Space Environment Service (ISES), and Pan-European Consortium for Aviation Space Weather User Services (PECASUS) were discussed in this paper. The analysis shows that ISWI, ISES, and PECASUS emerged due to awareness among countries regarding the negative impacts of space weather. Those international cooperation efforts have their respective duties and functions. However, all three are associative, contribute to human life in the future, and are able to control the behavior of member countries.

Abstract

Indonesia has various local wisdom. The local wisdom has been inherited from generation to generation. It is also integrated into formal education. Integrating local wisdom and education is also practiced in isolated areas like Gunung Katun Tanjungan village in Tulang Bawang Udik subdistrict, Tulang Bawang Barat regency, Lampung province. This village only has one school and it is an elementary school. Without a strong communication signal, students in this village cannot access educative information. In this limitation, creative learning is needed so students can get their right to education. This article seeks to investigate the author's creative learning strategy for teaching science, namely the solar system to 6th graders to connect space science and local wisdom. This article was written based on the author’s experience. Then, the experience was analyzed using creative learning theory. The analysis was carried out by matching the variable mentioned in the creative learning theory and the author’s experience. The conclusion shows that creative learning can create a fun learning environment to overcome the limitations in an isolated area. Moreover, creative learning has helped students to relate space science and local wisdom so space science can be a part of their lives.
