Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of halal tourist attractions, length of business, capital and tourist visits on traders' income in the Gentala Arasi tourist area, Jambi City. The number of samples in this study was 64 people and used a simple random sampling technique, namely accidental sampling by selecting random samples that were accidentally encountered. Multiple Regression Analysis is used as a data analysis technique. The research results show that halal tourist attractions and tourist visits have a significant effect on traders' income, while length of business and capital do not have a significant effect. Based on data analysis in this research, these variables are valid and reliable. When testing classical assumptions with a normal distribution, heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity do not occur.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri bisnis yang pesat menuju platform digital menuntut adanya peningkatan literasi digital, terutama dalam konteks e-business. Pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi dan pemahaman mendalam tentang bisnis digital kepada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Jurusan Manajemen Informatika Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, yang merupakan target strategis Generasi Z untuk masa depan ekonomi kreatif. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan lebih dari 30 mahasiswa sebagai sampel melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif dan wawancara semi-terstruktur, dengan instrumen berupa pedoman wawancara dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif, mencakup reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan literasi digital ini memberikan dampak positif, meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai bisnis elektronik. Metode luring dengan studi kasus dan praktik langsung efektif dalam memberikan pengalaman praktis, sementara sesi daring berhasil memberikan motivasi dan wawasan teoretis. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesiapan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi peluang usaha berbasis digital.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies of dried areca nut (pinang kering) implemented by traders in Kuala Betara District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. Areca nut is one of the plantation commodities with high economic value and great potential to increase community income and national foreign exchange through exports. However, in this region, the marketing of dried areca nut still faces various challenges, such as suboptimal product quality, limited transportation access, and predominantly traditional marketing strategies. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, indepth interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study are dried areca nut traders operating in the area. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation used to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that traders' marketing strategies include direct selling to middlemen, word-of-mouth promotion, and maintaining product quality to ensure customer loyalty. The study suggests the need for diversification of marketing channels through digital media, strengthening cooperatives or business groups, and improving product quality through training and processing facilities. With a more modern and integrated strategy, the marketing of dried areca nut from Kuala Betara District has the potential to expand to national and international markets.
