Abstract

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) are drugs used to treat pain, especially joint pain. The prevalence of joint disease in Yogyakarta is quite high, at 5.93%, so the use of AINS is also high. However, there are still many people who do not understand the proper use of AINS. This study aims to determine the description of patient knowledge about AINS at Perdana Yogyakarta Pharmacy. This study used a descriptive observational method using a questionnaire. Sampling using purposive sampling technique on 72 respondents. Data analysis includes respondent characteristics, drug use patterns, and level of knowledge about AINS which are then grouped into good, sufficient, and deficient categories. SPSS analysis was used to determine the relationship between respondent characteristics and knowledge about AINS. Respondents who used AINS drugs were mostly aged 45-59 years (44%), female gender (65%), and non-smoking (85%). As many as 47% of respondents sometimes experience gastric symptoms. This study concludes that the most widely used AINS drug is diclofenac (49%), and most respondents have a good (44%) and sufficient (44%) level of knowledge about the use of AINS drugs.

Abstract

Abstract: Preface Traditional medicine is a material or natural ingredients used for traditional medicine. The use of traditional medicine in Indonesia is 49.5%, namely in the form of herbs. Many people use traditional medicine, but knowledge regarding the use of traditional medicine is still lacking. Many people in Ponggalan RW 05, Giwangan, Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta use traditional medicine, especially the elderly. Purpose : Knowing the description of the level of public knowledge about traditional medicine in Kampung Ponggalan RW 05, Giwangan, Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta.. Method : This research is a type of observational research that is descriptive in nature using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Result : Description of the level of knowledge in Kampung Ponggalan RW 05, Giwangan Village, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta in January 2023 as many as 28 respondents (35%) with a good level of knowledge, as many as 42 respondents (53%) with a sufficient level of knowledge, and 10 respondents have a good level of knowledge less (13%). Conclusion : The level of knowledge of the Ponggalan community, Giwangan Village, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta about traditional medicine are sufficient.

Abstract

Abstract: Preface : The use of traditional medicine in Indonesia continues to increase. In the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the use of traditional medicines is quite high, reaching 58.1% in 2013. However, the community's knowledge of traditional medicines is still low and limited to herbal medicine. Purpose : To describe the level of knowledge, attitudes and the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards traditional medicines. Method : This research using analytic observational design with a cross sectional technic. The sampling technique used purposive sampling on 70 respondents in Majasem Hamlet, Madurejo Village, Prambanan District, Sleman. The data observed included patient characteristics (age, gender, education and occupation), level of knowledge, attitudes, and the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards traditional medicines, using the Kruskal-Wallis statistical test. Result : In this study, there were more female respondents than male respondents, namely 62%. The most age was the age group of 17-25 years (31%). Meanwhile, the most levels of education and occupation were housewives (34%) and high school (61%). The majority of the community's level of knowledge about traditional medicine was in the sufficient category (50%), the attitude towards the use of traditional medicine was in the majority in the good category (84.2%). The Kruskal-Wallis test results obtained a significance value of 0.005 <0.05. Conclusion : The level of community knowledge about traditional medicine is in the good (28.5%), intermediate (50%), and poor (21.5%) categories. Attitudes to the use of traditional medicine were in the good (84.2%), intermediate (14.3%) and bad (1.5%) categories, and there was a relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards traditional medicine. Abstract

Diabetes melitus (DM) merupakan penyakit kronis yang ditandai dengan tingginya kadar glukosa dalam darah karena gangguan sekresi insulin. Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta termasuk ke dalam 4 provinsi dengan prevalensi diabetes melitus tertinggi di Indonesia pada tahun 2018, yaitu sebesar 3,1%. Diabetes melitus juga termasuk ke dalam 5 besar penyakit di Puskesmas Tegalrejo pada tahun 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola peresepan obat antidiabetik pada pasien DM tipe 2 di Puskesmas Tegalrejo Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan observasional analitik dengan pengambilan data secara retrospektif pada resep pasien DM tipe 2 bulan Oktober-November 2022. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposif, sejumlah 85 resep. Analisis data secara kuantitatif pada karakteristik pasien, jenis dan golongan antidiabetik, serta kajian tepat dosis berdasarkan PERKENI 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan DM tipe 2 lebih banyak terjadi pada perempuan (77,7%) dan usia > 65 tahun (47,1%). Pasien DM tipe 2 dengan penyakit penyerta (84,7%) lebih banyak dibandingkan DM tipe 2 tanpa penyakit penyerta (15,3%). Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini, antidiabetik yang digunakan adalah golongan biguanid yaitu metformin 500 mg sebesar 66,4% dan golongan sulfonilurea yaitu glimepirid 1 mg sebesar 33,6 %. Ketepatan dosis obat antidiabetik yaitu tepat dosis sebesar 100%.
