Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) menggunakan model pembelajaran talking stick dengan  media audio speaker dan kartu situasi. Penelitian dilakukan di SDN 3 Nagrak. Permasalahan utama adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya konsentrasi belajar, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya variasi metode pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar. Rata-rata hasil siklus 1 adalah 72.6 dengan kategori cukup, sedangkan pada siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 84.3 dengan kategori baik. Selain itu, tingkat ketuntasan belajar juga meningkat, dari 77.14% pada siklus 1 menjadi 100% pada akhir siklus 2. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model talking stick dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning at the elementary level often faces challenges in improving students' analytical skills. This is due to monotonous and uninteractive learning methods, which result in low motivation and activity among students during the learning process. Based on this problem, this study aims to determine the effect of applying the Guess the Picture method on improving the analytical skills of fourth-grade students at MI X. This study is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, involving planning, action, observation, and reflection steps. Data were collected through pre- and post-test of students' analytical skills, observation of student participation, and a questionnaire to assess students' responses to the learning process. Data analysis results showed that students' pretest scores ranged from 35 to 92, with the majority scoring around 40 and 70. After implementing the Tebak Gambar method, there was a significant improvement, with many students achieving scores above 70 and all students able to reach a higher minimum score. Additionally, observations showed that students were more active and enthusiastic during the learning process, while student responses through the questionnaire indicated they felt more interested and motivated. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Tebak Gambar method is effective in enhancing students' analytical skills and creating a enjoyable and interactive learning environment. This study recommends the continued use of this method to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes at the elementary level. Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of fable stories among third-grade students at SDN Rawasalak through the implementation of the Role Playing learning method. The background of this research is based on the low ability of students to comprehend elements of fable stories—such as characters, plot, and moral messages—as indicated by the results of the pretest and initial observations. The study adopts a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles. Data were collected through reading comprehension tests, observation sheets, and teacher reflections. The results show an increase in the students’ average scores from 67.8 in the pre-cycle to 78.1 in the second cycle, as well as an improvement in learning mastery from 37.5% to 87.5%. Moreover, student engagement in the learning process also increased significantly. These findings indicate that the Role Playing method is effective in enhancing students' comprehension of fable stories while fostering an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning environment. This method is recommended as an alternative instructional strategy for teaching Indonesian language in elementary schools.
