Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate the variables that have an influence on the level of economic growth in Banten province in 2022. Employment level, human development index, unemployment rate, poverty level and level of income inequality are some of the variables studied. Using descriptive methodology, secondary data using the SPSS multiple linear regression application method from BPS Banten province is used to describe economic phenomena realistically. It is hoped that the results of the study will broaden insight into various factors that influence economic growth in Banten province. Findings-according to this research, only the labor force participation rate has a meaningful influence on economic development, while the human resource development index, the level of welfare deprivation, the level of lack of employment opportunities, and the level of income inequality are statistically insignificant. Engagement-This research can provide valuable knowledge about the elements that influence economic growth, which can be used to make decisions in the future.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of income and workforce on the development of the tourism industry in Yogyakarta. Using an econometric approach, this study uses secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the 2019-2023 period to understand the relationship between the independent variables (Regional Minimum Wage and labor force) and the dependent variable (number of tourists). The research results show that income and labor play a significant role in supporting the tourism industry, both through increasing the number of tourists and expanding employment opportunities. This research highlights the importance of human resource development policies and increasing community income to encourage tourism competitiveness in Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh pendapatan dan angkatan kerja terhadap perkembangan industri pariwisata di Yogyakarta. Dengan pendekatan ekonometrik, studi ini menggunakan data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) periode 2019-2023 untuk memahami hubungan antara variabel independen (Upah Minimum Regional dan angkatan kerja) dengan variabel dependen (jumlah wisatawan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan dan tenaga kerja berperan signifikan dalam mendukung industri pariwisata, baik melalui peningkatan jumlah wisatawan maupun perluasan lapangan kerja. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya kebijakan pengembangan sumber daya manusia dan peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat untuk mendorong daya saing pariwisata di Yogyakarta.
