Kata kunci: DMAIC, industri garmen, printing kain, six sigma Abstract PT XYZ is a garment company with a make-to-order production system. One of the production processesis printing. Based on defect data for 12 periods in 2022, the total defect percentage is 0.314% whichaccording to Six Sigma theory, the percentage of defects to the ideal production amount is 0.0003%.Therefore, this research aims to propose solutions to improve the quality of the in-house printing processat PT XYZ. This is done because of the high number of defects in the in-house printing process that shouldhave been minimized in the previous process. The researcher used the Six Sigma method to be able to tryto provide solutions based on quantitative data along with qualitative knowledge that has been obtainedfrom field employees who certainly have deeper experience and understanding than the researcher.Based on this research, it is found that the average sigma level of PT XYZ's in-house printing process in2022 is at a sigma level of 4.58 which certainly has not reached the ideal sigma level of 6. The largestdefect is obtained by the snag/pull/pick defect which is one of the fabric defects, not the print defect, sothen analyze the causes of the largest defect using the fishbone diagram and propose an improvementsolution for these causes. Keywords: DMAIC; fabric printing; garment industry; six sigma
