Abstract

Sumber daya manusia merupakan suatu hal penting dalam perusahaan tanpa adanya aspek manusia sulit bagi suatu perusahaan untuk mengembangkan misi dan tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Sehingga untuk menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas perlu diperhatikan kepuasan kerja karyawannya. Kepuasan kerja karyawan dapat dipengaruhi oleh motivasi dan lingkungan kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT Alamsegar Jaya. teknik pengambilan sempel yang digunakan adalah Simple Random Sampling dengan jumlah sempel sebanyak 50 responden. Metode peneltian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan pengelolaan data menggunakan bantuan Software SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan motivasi dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan singnifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT Alamsegar Jaya. Human resources are an important thing in a company without the human aspect it is difficult for a company to carry out the mission and goals that have been set. So to create quality human resources, it is necessary to pay attention to the job satisfaction of its employees. Employee job satisfaction can be influenced by motivation and work environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation and work environment on job satisfaction of PT Alamsegar Jaya employees. sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling with a total sample of 50 respondents. This research method is a quantitative method with data management using the help of SmartPLS Software. The results of this study indicate that motivation and work environment have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction of employees of PT Alamsegar Jaya.

Abstract

Community service aims to provide tangible contributions by offering innovative solutions to various local problems. One of Indonesia’s major issues, especially in urban areas, is waste management. Every day, tons of waste are produced, but it is often disposed of without further processing. A lack of public knowledge about organic waste management is a key contributing factor. In Tadukan Raga Village, Deli Serdang Regency, Universitas Sumatera Utara implemented a community service program to educate residents on environmentally friendly organic waste processing using maggots. Maggots can decompose organic waste and produce residue that serves as fertilizer, while the larvae themselves are valuable as fish feed. Additionally, residents were trained in straw mushroom cultivation to maximize the benefits of organic waste. The program successfully increased public awareness of waste management, produced economically valuable products, and established maggot-based production facilities. This initiative not only reduced environmental impact but also supported local economic sustainability. Recognizing further potential for development, additional training continues to be conducted to strengthen the program’s outcomes.

Abstract

This Introduction to Earth Science Field Lecture activity was conducted at Bukit Batu Putih, Samarinda City, which is the Balang Island Formation (Tmpb). This location was chosen because of the dominance of limestone in the area and the significant limestone mining activities. This study aims to understand the local geological characteristics, identify limestone types, and analyze the impact of mining on the surrounding environment. The methodology used in this study includes field observation, geological mapping, and visual analysis and limestone sample assessment. Field observations were conducted to identify the structure and texture of limestone and geological formations around the location. Geological mapping was conducted to map the distribution of limestone and understand the stratigraphic relationship between rock layers. The results of the study indicate that limestone consists of clastic and fossiliferous limestone types, which are formed from calcium carbonate deposits. Mining activities in this area have revealed many limestone layers that have economic potential. However, mining also has environmental impacts, such as changes in land morphology and degradation of water quality. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of understanding regional geology and limestone characteristics for better resource management. Recommendations are provided for improving environmentally friendly mining practices and conservation efforts to maintain the balance of the ecosystem in Bukit Batu Putih.
