Abstract

Learning Indonesian has one skill, namely writing. Writing skills material is a travel report. In reality, students in writing travel reports could not reach KKM scores, especially at SDN Pandeanlamper 02 Semarang. This attracts researchers to find out how to improve writing skills at the elementary school level in grade IV. This study uses quantitative research with experimental research taking the population of all students in the class totaling 27 students. Data collection using the test method. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes, which was originally only 36.50% to 100%. Thus, it can be concluded that using serial images can improve the writing skills of grade IV students' travel reports.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education through positive habits in Phase B students to develop the Pancasila Student Profile. The background of this research highlights the importance of character education in the Indonesian education system to cultivate a generation with noble character, responsibility, and national spirit. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach conducted in an elementary school in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, direct observations, and document analysis related to character education programs. The results indicate that the program of positive habits, such as activities of mutual cooperation, discipline, and responsibility, has effectively shaped students' character in alignment with Pancasila values. Teachers play a crucial role as models and facilitators in this process. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of character education through positive habits can significantly support the achievement of the Pancasila Student Profile, provided it is supported by the active involvement of all related parties, including teachers, parents, and the community.

Abstract

Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning in primary education aims to prepare students to face future challenges through active learning activities. Critical thinking skills play a crucial role in enabling students to evaluate ideas and actively engage in the learning process. This study aimed to develop IT-based card media for digestive system material that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills and learning activities. The research employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants were 19 fifth-grade students of Pandeanlamper 02 Elementary School, Semarang, selected through purposive sampling. The results of expert validation by media experts, material experts, and practitioners indicated that the developed media met the criteria of very valid. Furthermore, the implementation of the IT-based card media showed an improvement in students’ critical thinking skills and learning activities after its use. Overall, these findings suggest that IT-based card media is feasible and effective as a learning medium to support the development of critical thinking skills and active learning in primary education.
