Abstract

Universities establish policies, standards, and quality assurance instruments. The IQAS (internal quality assurance system) policy is the general direction and policy of higher education institutions in implementing quality assurance. IQAS standards are criteria used to assess the quality of higher education implementation. The IQAS instrument is a tool used to collect data and information to assess the quality of higher education implementation. This study aims to conduct an analysis and study of the implementation of the internal quality assurance system in higher education: a case study at the Bakti Asih Polytechnic, Purwakarta, Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Research data was obtained through interviews, observation, and document analysis. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and document analysis were then analyzed qualitatively. Qualitative analysis is carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Overall, the implementation of IQAS at the Bakti Asih Polytechnic Purwakarta has gone well. However, efforts are needed to improve the communication and socialization of IQAS, as well as regular monitoring and evaluation of IQAS.

Abstract

Introduction: Infancy is a critical period for physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. Baby gym is a stimulation program designed to improve baby development through various physical, sensory, and social activities. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of baby gym in improving baby development in Purwakarta Regency, Indonesia. Methods: Quasi-experimental research design with pre-test and post-test. A sample of 60 babies aged 6-12 months was divided into two groups: intervention (n=30) who participated in the baby gym program for 3 months and controls (n=30) who did not participate in the baby gym program. Infant development was measured using the Denver developmental screening test (DDST) before and after intervention. Results: There was a significant difference in the development of babies in the intervention group compared to the control group (p<0.05). The intervention group showed a higher increase in the DDST total score and gross motor, fine motor, language, and personal social subdomains. Conclusion: The baby gym program is effective in improving baby development in Purwakarta Regency, Indonesia.

Abstract

Growth problems are not only malnutrition, but also shortness or overnutrition WHO (2018). Children have very important values, every parent expects their child to grow and develop well. Growth is a component of the developmental process, which takes place consistently. Baby massage is a therapy that provides various benefits for babies, including in terms of growth and physical development. Objective: This study was to examine the effect of baby massage on weight gain in babies aged 0-6 months. Methods: This study used quasy experimentation with a pre-test and post-test design. Using the Normality Test shows normal distributed data p > 0.05. Then the Independent Test was obtained with a Sig. value of 0.000<0.05. . The total sample of 32 babies, namely the intervention group, was given treatment routinely every 2 days for 10 days. and the control group was not given such treatment. Results: In the intervention group, the mean pre-test, which was 5150grams, and the mean post-test, which was 5806grams, there was an increase of 656grams. The mean pre-test control group was 4837gram and the mean post-test was 4811grams, there was an increase of 44 grams. Conclusion: There is an effect of Baby Massage on weight gain in babies aged 0-6 months.

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia in 2016, mothers with plugged duct are 76,543 (71.10%) with the highest rate of 37.12% (Kemenkes of RI, 2016). In 2016, almost 52% of breastfeeding mothers suffered from plugged duct (Dinkes of West Java, 2016). Research Method: This study employed descriptive method. Populations in this study are 40 postpartum mothers who suffered from plugged duct in private practice midwives of bd. I Ds. Neglasari, Kec Banjaran Kab. Bandung 2021. Samples used in this study were taken by total sampling. Data used in this study are secondary data using checklist (√) method that are available on the medical records in. Results: According to the data obtained from this study, respondents with the characteristic of getting plugged duct are 40 people (100%). Based on the age category, almost all respondents are between 20 to 35 years old by 33 people (82.5%). Based on the category of education, almost all respondents have got low level of education (SD, SMP) by 38 people (92.5%). Based on the category of job, half of all respondents are as housewives by 20 people (50%). Based on the category of parity, most of respondents’ the parity history is multipara by 21 people (52.50%). Conclusion: The characteristic descriptions of postpartum mothers with plugged duct are age, education, job, and parity. According to the study, it is suggested that focus on delivering information about the characteristic descriptions of postpartum mothers should be done more. It is also suggested that more varied studies with different methods are necessary.
