Abstract

In linguistics, the only aspect that discusses human language is called pragmatic studies. The meaning contained in an utterance in a pragmatic context is called implicature. Impilkature has become part of the conversational tools in communication. With this research, the author wants to know the implications of conversations in the film Antares. The author also uses a qualitative descriptive research method to determine the communication used in the film Antares. The results of the research show that conversational implicatures referring to Grice's theory can be applied in the use of implicatures in a film. The results of this research discuss the implications of general, specific and scaled conversations. Based on research findings, it can be concluded that implicatures often occur in the conversation process between speech partners and speakers, even if only in short sentences. Abstract

   Traffic accidents occur due to human factors that do not comply with established regulations. This results in losses for many people, namely traffic jams and loss of property. A carnival accident occurred in Pacet, Mojokerto, because the brakes failed on a tanker truck that was transporting water. This research aims to conduct a framing analysis of the reporting on the causes of the carnival accident in Pacet Mojokerto using the analytical framework. . The framing analysis method uses the Entman models with a qualitative descriptive approach used to determine problem definitions, causes of problems, moral evaluations, recommendations for solutions and through important elements. This research shows that the existence of online media, especially news, can influence people's views or opinions. This has a negative impact on the public's thoughts regarding the carnival accident in Pacet, Mojokerto. Keywords: Framing, Analysis, Accident, Entman, Online News.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Javanese culture which has an important role for the nation today in facing foreign cultural competition that prioritizes modern or hedonistic life. This preservation is important to do so that Javanese culture is not sidelined by the modern era. Therefore, the establishment of the Keramat market which stores Javanese cultural symbols is important to be developed in order to face modern competition. So, this study aims to reveal the meaning of the symbols of snacks, drinks, and performing arts that reflect Javanese culture in the Keramat market. This study uses a research method in the form of a qualitative approach and a descriptive method is used to interpret or describe the signifiers and markers of Javanese cultural symbols in the Keramat Market. Based on the use of a qualitative approach and descriptive method, it will produce results that show that there is a denotative, connotative, and mythical meaning of Roland Barthes' semiotic theory concept in snacks, drinks, and performing arts that reflect Javanese culture in the Keramat market. So the concept of Barthes' semiotic theory in the form of denotative meaning through signifiers and markers aims to reveal the literal meaning of the data to be used. The connotative meaning is useful for knowing the signifiers and signifieds of the symbols of snacks, drinks, and performing arts that reflect Javanese culture in the Keramat market. Furthermore, the myth which is derived from the signified connotative meaning is useful for expressing the deep meaning of the symbols of Javanese culture in the Keramat market.
