Abstract

Printing machine is a tool for the process of transferring images for the printing industry. The machines studied at this company are the GTO 52, MO 65, and GTO 4W engines. Production will be problematic when there are many failure factors that affect machine performance and result in reduced productivity results. As in March, the total downtime of printing machines reached 1,067 minutes, while the rejects were 13,559 pcs. This is because the company also does not have proper maintenance implementation so that operators must be alert. Therefore, this study aims to carry out a comparative analysis of the effectiveness and determine the failure potential of each machine owned by this company using the FMEA and OEE methods. Based on the implementation results, it can be seen that the potential for failure occurs due to machine handling which must be improved through scheduling or periodic checking in order to reduce the hazard from the impact of machine conditions, product quality and increase the efficiency of printing machines. Meanwhile, the OEE value for April 2022 of the three machines produced 30.87% on the GTO 52 and 39.78% on the MO 65, which means that the effectiveness value is lower than the GTO 4W engine of 200.85%. The results of other months are still experiencing irregular increases and decreases, which means that the three machines need the right handling to be able to produce high OEE values so that their operations are more efficient.

Abstract

In the production process, the machine is an important factor in the ongoing production process. In maintaining the continuity of engine performance, it is necessary to have good engine maintenance and regular scheduling. However, some companies often ignore this and machine breakdowns occur and result in prolonged downtime. From the observation results it was found that the mill machine has the time with the greatest downtime. The research was conducted using the OEE method to measure the level of productivity and effectiveness of the machine. After processing the data, the OEE value was 54.79%. Followed by data processing using Six Big Lossess. Obtained from the calculation of the Six Big Lossess that there are 2 losses that have the greatest value, namely idle and minor stoppage losses of 85.7% and reduced speed losses of 57.6%. Followed by fishbone analysis. After being analyzed using a fishbone diagram, it was found that the causal factors of the losses were found. The analysis was continued using FMECA and 3 failure modes were obtained with the highest RPN values, namely unscheduled machine maintenance, raw materials from the previous station were not on time, and there was no guide for good machine use. In overcoming the problem, MTBF scheduling is made for each engine component. For the servo pipe component, a re-examination was carried out on August 26, 2022, hydraulic axles on November 21, 2022, timing belt components on June 3, 2023, hydraulic hose components on May 23, 2023, wielding insulator components on April 8, 2023. This can optimize preventive maintenance so that machine efficiency can increase.

Abstract

The research was conducted in a garment company which is a manufacturing industry company engaged in garment or clothing. To be able to compete in similar industries, it is important to measure performance to assess the extent to which the company has made progress in the company's success in achieving the targets set. The company has so far only seen from the financial aspect, there has been no comprehensive performance measurement. Performance measurement uses the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method which consists of 4 perspectives, namely finance, customers, internal business and learning and growth. BSC aims to help companies determine priorities and monitor the company's progress in achieving goals. From these 4 perspectives, each weight is 0.307; 0,260; 0,247; 0,186. In the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method which aims to measure company productivity and Traffic Light System which aims to make it easier to interpret the achievement of company performance obtained from 12 key performance indicators (KPIs) there are 3 KPIs that have reached the target, 5 KPIs that have almost reached the target including increasing profits, increasing customer loyalty, improving good relationships with customers, reduction of product defec, as well as routine employee training and 4 KPIs that are still below the target include adding new customers, reducing work accidents, increasing employee satisfaction and increasing employee discipline. After that, using the Hoshin Kanri Planning X-Matrix method to design strategies so that the company can achieve long-term goals and continue to strive for improvement and growth.

Abstract

PT ATP is a company operating in the field of construction materials and services. So far, PT ATP has not fully carried out performance calculations. the company's performance assessment only focuses on the financial sector. This measurement causes the company's orientation to only focus on short-term profits. Therefore, companies need to carry out analysis and identify overall company performance measurements to find out the causes of existing problems. This research will be conducted using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method. Primary data used in this research was obtained from observations, interviews and discussions with the company as well as by filling out questionnaires with the company. Secondary data such as company revenue data, sales data, customer number data comes from data that the company has had for the last 6 years. Based on the results of performance measurements using OMAX, it is known that the overall results of the company's performance have a weight of 5.118, indicating that the company's performance is sufficient but has not reached the target and still requires improvement. The results of calculations using the Objective Matrix (OMAX) and Traffic Light System (TLS), it is known that there are 3 green indicators whose performance is good, 5 yellow indicators whose performance is sufficient but still below the target, and 4 red indicators whose performance is still far below target.

Abstract

The research was conducted at an advertising company with the object of research being signage or advertisements with the purpose to improving the quality of production process, and increasing the efficiency value of the production process. Based on the results of field studies, waste occurs in the production process in the form of defects, overproduction and inventory waste. Data collection was carried out by direct observation at the company, and interviews with the operational director. It was found that the average percentage of embossed signage defects in January to June 2023 was 6%. The method used to overcome this problem is Lean Six Sigma with the DMAIC stages (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The define stage uses SIPOC and CTQ diagrams to identify problems. The measure stage will use WAM to identify waste. The PCE value obtained at the measure stage was 56.01%, and the DPMO and sigma values were 22,742 and 3.5. Next, an analysis of the causes of the problem is carried out at the analyze stage. The analysis was carried out with the help of tools in the form of fishbone diagrams, why-why analysis, and FMEA. In FVSM, PCE was found to be 58.26%, which indicates that there has been an increase in the efficiency of the production process. Based on the results of the analysis, suggestions for improvements are provided to improve the quality of production and production processes at the company. At the control stage, control is carried out on the results of proposed improvements strictly before recalculation is carried out after implementing the improvements.
