Abstract

Background: The community health nursing assessment is a process to understand the health problems that are often found in such location including health behavior problems, environmental problem, also health services utilization problem which will cause various effect among age group population Purpose: Researcher would like to perform nursing process to the community health problems at the Tunjungsari Suburban, Bantur Village, Malang District. Methods: The case study with a cross sectional approach used as research design. The nursing community assessment checklist delivered to 641 respondents who lives at 217 households around Tunjungsari Suburban, Bantur Village. The data then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis based on community nursing approach using community as partner theory. Results: The results showed that the community had a risky health behaviour marked by 47% adult were smoking inside the house, 73% of the elders never performing any health check, 89% of the elder's never to come to the Posyandu. 38,27% of the total population experienced acute inflammatory respiratory disease during the past 6 months, and failed to managing the household waste due to limited facilities. Conclusion: Based on the result of this study, it is recommended for the stakeholders to improve the community health services, increases the health promotion programs distribution especially targeting the elder's population. For the government providing final waste management in this community will help to increases the community health. Keywords: Case study; community health; nursing process.

Abstract

Objective: Analyzing the influence of Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) education using flashcard media and group activity therapy on the level of knowledge of integrated health post or Posyandu (Pos Kesehatan Terpadu) cadres in Banjarejo Village, Ngantang District, Malang Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. Design: The pre-experimental with pretest-posttest used as research design. Setting: The research was elaborated at Banjarejo Village Sport Center, Ngantang District, Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. Data collection on June 2024. Method: The population was 63 health cadres from five Posyandu, selected using purposive sampling with a sample size of 42 people. The DASH knowledge questionnaire used as instrument with parameters Understanding DASH, Objectives, Types, Examples of types of food, Principles of the DASH diet, how to process food, benefits of the DASH diet, Composition, examples of processed foods DASH Diet and the concept of the DASH diet. Flashcard and interactive games used in the process of data collection. Data analysis used the marginal homogeneity test. Result: The results showed that before being given education about DASH with flashcard media, most of the Posyandu cadres had knowledge in the poor category (57.1%) and after being given education, the knowledge of Posyandu cadres was in the good category (52.4%). The results of the marginal homogeneity test obtained a p value = 0.001 (<0.05). Conclusion: There is an influence of DASH education with flashcard media and group activity therapy on the level of knowledge of health cadres in Banjarejo Village, Ngantang District, Malang Regency. This research not only provides significant scientific contributions on knowledge, but also has a positive impact in increasing empowerment capacity to maintain the health of population against hypertension. Abstract

Perilaku bullying yang terjadi pada anak semakin meningkat, menyebabkan banyak dampak yang muncul pada diri anak. Rasa takut, sulit berkonsentrasi, sulit bersosialisasi dan masalah lainnya mengancam perkembangan kejiwaan anak. Dibutuhkan sebuah upaya berkesinambungan dari berbagai pihak, untuk memutus rantai bullying  yang terjadi. Sekolah merupakan salah satu lingkungan yang baik untuk menanamkan rasa cinta kasih, dan perdamaian pada anak sekolah. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengajak anak sekolah untuk meninggalkan perilaku bullying, dengan menggunakan komik sebagai media penyuluhan mencegah bullying. Pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di SD Pucangsari I Pasuruan dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 25 anak. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian meliputi pre test, ice breaking, pembacaan komik secara bersama-sama, bermain peran komik, post test, dan evaluasi. Pengabdi menggunakan media komik, yang dianggap lebih efektif dalam memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada anak-anak tentang bullying, dikarenakan banyak indra yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran. Dalam kegiatan ini, pengabdi juga menekankan rasa cinta kasih, berbicara yang baik kepada teman serta menjalin persahabatan dengan teman. Sebagai bahan evaluasi, selain adanya pre test dan post test, pengabdi juga melontarkan beberapa pertanyaan seputar bullying, dan anak-anak sangat antusias dalam menjawab, serta memberikan perhatian penuh dengan materi yang diberikan oleh pengabdi. Pengabdi berharap, sosialisasi kepada anak-anak melalui media komik dalam mencegah bullying ini memberikan kemanfataan yakni dapat menambah pengetahuan, pemahaman serta muncul empati dan rasa kasih sayang pada teman. Selain itu adanya kegiatan ini dapat rutin terus dilakukan saling bekerjasama antara pihak sekolah dan keluarga, agar sekecil apapun bullying yang terjadi pada anak di sekolah dapat dicegah.
