Abstract

Obesitas merupakan kondisi yang mempunyai resiko peningkatan morbiditas dan mortalitaspenyakit kronis, kardiovaskuler, diabetes tipe II dan gangguan kolorekta. Obesitas ialan seorangyang memiliki indeks masa tubuh >25Kg/M. Tujuan: peneltian ini untuk mengetahui analisisfaktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya obesitas. Metode penelitian: menggunakanexplanatory research. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling sehinggadidapatkan 63 responden Residen Departemen Ilmu Penyakit Dalam. Alat yang dilakukan yaitukuesioner yang berisi pertanyaan: umur, tinggi badan (TB), berat badan (BB), pemeriksaan kadarleptin. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear ganda. Hasil analisis bivariate menunjukkanbahwa ada hubungan yang bermakna antara IMT dengan leptin yaitu 0,05>0,046, ada hubunganyang bermakna antara obesitas dengan jenis kelamin yaitu 0,05>0,00, ada hubungan yangbermakna antara obesitas dengan leptin yaitu 0,05>0,00, dan tidak ada hubungan yang bermaknaantara obesitas dengan gula darah puasa yaitu 0,05<0.885. Kesimpulan: faktor yang berhubungandengan IMT adalah kadar leptin. Peneliti merekomendasikan penggunaan hasil leptin sebagaiindikator peningkatan berat badan. Kata kunci: leptin, residen, obesitas,

Abstract

A good immune system is the key to avoiding viral, bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections. A person's immune status affects the risk of being infected by various viruses and bacteria, various studies have been conducted to increase the immune system. One of them is through proper and balanced nutritional intake and utilizing functional foods based on local food. The purpose of this activity is to increase public knowledge regarding the role of food in improving the immune system. Method This community service activity is carried out through the provision of education (counseling) with the lecture method. The target is the general public in Paya Dua village in Menasah (surau) with a capacity of 100 people. The material was delivered directly which was divided into lecture sessions and question and answer sessions or sharing. The results of education related to the role of food in improving the immune system provide benefits to the community, impacting the increase in public knowledge about food that can maintain the personal and environmental immunity system. Conclusion The community gained knowledge about foods that contain balanced nutrition and increased public knowledge regarding the role of balanced nutrition in food that affects the improvement of the immune system. It is hoped that through this education and socialization, the community will be able to maintain health by improving the immune system in the family and community.

Abstract

Rhinitis is one of the health conditions commonly found in the community, with a high prevalence both globally and in Indonesia. These disorders have a significant impact on an individual's quality of life, interfere with daily activities, and have the potential to lead to complications such as sinusitis and asthma. Educational efforts through health counseling are an important strategy in improving public knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to the prevention and management of rhinitis. This counseling activity aims to expand public understanding of rhinitis, including definitions, risk factors, symptoms, preventive measures, and self-management that can be applied in daily life. The methods used include interactive lectures, group discussions, and question and answer sessions, with the target of the general public who have risks or complaints related to rhinitis. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the condition of rhinitis and the importance of preventive measures. Participants showed a higher awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness, avoiding exposure to allergens, and implementing a healthy lifestyle. In addition, there was an increase in participants' proactivity in seeking health information and a commitment to implement preventive behaviors consistently. This counseling has a positive impact on improving public health literacy and encouraging constructive changes in attitudes in dealing with rhinitis. It is hoped that similar activities can be carried out in a sustainable and widespread manner, so as to contribute to reducing the prevalence of rhinitis and improving the quality of life of the community in general. Community-based counseling has proven to be effective as a promotive and preventive approach in handling chronic and recurrent diseases such as rhinitis.
