This article aims to analyse the public discourse and sentiments that appear in the comments on Willy Salim's TikTok video sharing. In this endeavour, the research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection techniques through web scraping using Apify software to mine data from the TikTok platform. The data collected included likes, comments, shares, and usernames of users who interacted with the video. The sentiment analysis methods used were VADER and TextBlob, while Perspective API was used to measure toxicity in Communalytic.org comments as a tool to analyse the data. The results showed that the majority of comments had a neutral sentiment with a small proportion of positive and negative comments. The toxicity analysis showed that while most comments did not contain significant elements of violence or hatred, there were a small number of comments with high toxicity scores indicating the presence of insulting and hateful elements. These findings provide important insights for content creators, social media platform managers, and researchers in understanding how audiences interact with viral content, as well as its impact on public opinion and social discourse. This research also demonstrates how automated analysis techniques can be used to gain deeper insights into user behaviour on social media
