Abstract

The large COVID-19 disease outbreak had a devastating impact on the entire world, with Bangladesh being one of the worst-affected nations. The epidemic worsened the situation of small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in Bangladesh. The goal of this study is to examine the possibilities and difficulties faced by SMEs in Bangladesh's Rangpur district during the COVID-19 epidemic and the transition to the new normal. The research methodology combines an exploratory technique with a quantitative methodology. The study is designed on both primary and secondary data. Researchers collected data from 290 respondents from Rangpur District. The first finding of the study is that the most significant proportion of business is small enterprise which is 83.4 percentage. Lack of opportunities and business scope, there are less numbers of medium enterprise in the Rangpur district that is around 17%. Second one, opportunity of COVID-19, around 71% businesses have been improved financial condition by working capital in pandemic situation which is one the opportunity for SMEs. Moreover, commerce increase which is 40% of the respondents. Technological adaptation and E-commerce are the positive sides for improving socio-economic development for Rangpur district. challenge’soint of challenges view, COVID-19 on SMEs is the largest competition between business which is approximately 72% and total responses is 209 out of 290.

Abstract

This study is all about exploring the public university students’ experiencing intention to use ChatGPT in academic purpose with the application of TAM theory along with new extension like enjoyment, informativeness and privacy and security factors. The study was conducted in Rangpur division, Bangladesh. Total 412 data were found valid after data collection. SPSS and Smart PLS software were applied for analysis of the data with TAM theory. The study result shows that, all the factors except perceived enjoyment impacts positively the attitudes of students. Service providers of ChatGPT should consider this factor carefully so that in future they can update some new feature with ChatGPT that may be enjoyable to the users. Teachers of the university should be careful while examining students’ different assignments and projects whether they are not directly copied from ChatGPT or not. Future studies can be with other factors with the existing factors and mediation can also be done by the researchers for further study. School and college level students may be considered for this type of study and the sample size should be larger for better result.

Abstract

This study examines how e-haj management systems in Bangladesh affect user satisfaction. Therefore, the authors presented the hypothesis using webQual 4.0 Model. Data was collected using a 5-point-lickert questionnaire. 347 valid data were collected from Dhaka city. SPSS 27 displayed descriptive statistics, and Smart PLS 3.3.3 was analysed for measurement and structural model. The study found the positive impact of the usability, information quality, and service information quality of e-hajj on users' satisfaction. Thus, e-government implementers can get benefits from the findings of the paper as they come to know what factors motivates individuals to use the government's e-haj management portal. This finding also suggested that government should focus on website’s easy to navigate option, updated information and 24/7 customer service. As a result, this tendency of the citizens towards e-government services will be increased day by day and motivated to accept these e-hajj system. This research will increase trust and improve the democratic process for all citizens including businesses, or different government agencies by enhancing service quality provided to them. Small sample size, data collection period, and location are the limitations of this study. Future researchers may combine more model’s items and reduce these limitations to improve practical application studies.
