Abstract

Tindakan yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan water literacy yaitu: The Water literacy Online Training (WLOT), online education and via the zoom application, the Water in Society course yang terdiri atas face-to-face (2017) to a flipped hybrid model (2018 and 2019), a split flipped and fully online modality (2020), to a fully asynchronous online model (2021), Innovative television, flipped learning methodology, Project based studies, Socio-Scientific Reasoning, Action based training, dan Green Roof. Water literacy yang terdiri atas pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku terkait air dapat mendukung pengelolaan sumber daya air yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Bauxite mining that has been ongoing for decades in Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province, has left several voids or former excavated ponds. The existence of these post-mining voids has the potential to affect environmental quality, especially regarding water quality components and the suitability of land use in the surrounding area. This study aims to analyze the current condition of bauxite void water quality after mining in Bintan Regency as a basis for assessing the ecological aspects of the post-mining area. The analysis was conducted descriptively and comparatively by comparing the physico-chemical water parameters against class II water quality standards, in accordance with Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021. Data were obtained from the Bintan Regency Environment Agency (DLH) in 2023, including parameters such as pH, DO, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, Total Phosphate, and Fecal Coliform. The results showed that most of the water quality parameters were within the class II standard range, except for pH, which varied between 0.24 and 7.75, indicating that some locations were highly acidic. The pH value is the main limiting parameter in determining the ecological conditions of the post-mining voids. Based on the calculation of the compliance score, about 68.8% of voids are classified as "Appropriate," and 31.2% as "Fairly Appropriate." These findings indicate that most voids have undergone natural stabilization processes, although some still require advanced ecological rehabilitation to normalize water quality and support post-mining environmental functions.

Abstract

Grojogan Sewu Nature Tourism Park, covering an area of 64,124 hectares, has undergone environmental and spatial changes that no longer align with its original management zoning plan. This study aims to redesign the management blocks based on ecological and socio-economic sensitivities through the use of spatial multi-criteria evaluation combined with a hierarchical decision-making process and geographic information system-based analysis. The objectives of the study are to determine management zones using ecological sensitivity criteria, including vegetation cover, land cover, slope classification, geological sensitivity, and distribution of flora and fauna. Additionally, socio-economic sensitivity is assessed using criteria such as accessibility to potential areas of utilization, zones of tourism activities, and water resource usage areas. The findings of this study indicate a revised spatial division of the nature park into two main management blocks: the protection block and the utilization block. The protection block accounts for approximately 36,966 hectares or 57.65 percent of the total area, while the utilization block comprises about 27,158 hectares or 42.35 percent. The proposed zoning scheme is expected to support effective conservation strategies and enhance integrated spatial planning for sustainable nature tourism management in Grojogan Sewu
