Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of PPKn teachers in overcoming students' learning apathy at SMP Muhammdiyah 7 Surakarta. This study was carried out for approximately one month using descriptive qualitative study methods using facts in the field to provide a clearer picture. The data and data sources for this research are the results of interviews with PPKn teachers, students, and school principals, as well as the results of observations carried out by researchers at schools. This study uses observation instruments and interview instruments. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that civic teachers have an essential role in overcoming students' learning apathy. The role of the PPKn teacher at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta is as follows: First when students are not involved in the learning process, the teacher plays a vital role in overcoming this problem by looking for or calling them to be informed about the material explained in class and given sanctions. Second, when students ignore the teacher when the teacher explains the lesson material, the teacher's role in overcoming this problem is to develop a learning model that does not only use the lecture method. Third, when students do not dare to ask questions to the teacher, the teacher's role in overcoming this problem is to understand because each student has different abilities. Fourth, when students do not answer questions asked by the teacher or other students, what the teacher does is give additional points to raise student motivation. Fifth, when students do not dare to respond to answers from other students, the teacher's role is to motivate students why they do not answer questions and so on. Sixth, when students do not provide conclusions at the end of the lesson, the teacher explains that only students who pay attention during learning can conclude the material. Sixth, when students do not do the assignments given by the teacher, in this case, the teacher has a vital role in preventing this by providing sanctions in the form of doubling the assignment.

Methodology: Research This use method qualitative with approach descriptive done in a way gradu-ally starting from determining topic, collecting data, analyzing data, up to getting understanding material related to a Topic certain. Source data study This is head school, teacher Education Pancasila, and students. Research da-ta This is related with pattern Study students in the digital era learning Education Pancasila. Research This uses technique data collection in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation to all the parties that become the data source in study this, while for data analysis using interactive data analysis. Research conducted at Muhammadiyah 1 Vocational School, Su-koharjo (SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo). Results: The study reveals that students in the digital era tend to prefer group learning patterns, as it enhances their motivation, engagement, and comprehension of the learning material. An effective strategy in this context is the integration of attractive media and the use of e-learning platforms, which support the delivery of Pancasila Education. However, several challenges were identified in teaching Pancasila Education in the digital age, such as the rapid change in information, shifting student interest, and the ease of technological misuse. Applications/Originality/Value: This research provides a deeper understanding of how digital technology has transformed the way students access, process, and apply Pancasila values in their education. It offers important contributions to the development of more advanced, relevant, and effective learning models suited to the digital era. The findings can guide educators in designing appropriate teaching strategies that align with the digital behaviors of students, particularly in civic and moral education like Pancasila.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe the role of Supeltas officers (Traffic Control Volunteers) in enhancing road safety in Kartasura District by examining how their activities contribute to reducing accidents and increasing the security of all road users. Methodology: Employing a descriptive qualitative design, the researcher—serving as the key instrument—collected data through snowball sampling to identify knowledgeable participants, direct observations of Supeltas in action, in‐depth interviews with officers and community members, and documentation review. Data analysis followed a systematic process of collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion‐drawing (verification) to ensure a clear focus on how Supeltas operate in the field. Results: Findings reveal that Supeltas significantly improve road safety by actively assisting pedestrians—especially schoolchildren— in crossing roads, thereby minimizing accident risks. Public perception of Supeltas is overwhelmingly positive, with community members appreciating their patience and guidance. However, challenges include reckless behavior by some drivers (notably students) who disregard traffic regulations. Supeltas address these issues through calm regulation and gentle reprimands to encourage compliance. Applications/Originality/Value: This research highlights the practical impact of volunteer‐based traffic control on community safety and underscores the need to support and expand Supeltas initiatives. By integrating Supeltas into extracurricular PKS programs and fostering broader community involvement—particularly among students—local authorities and schools can strengthen traffic safety education, reduce reckless driving, and prevent accidents in Kartasura and similar districts.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates the strategies teachers employ, the obstacles they face, and the solutions they devise when integrating Pancasila Education with digital‑literacy objectives at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo. By examining how educators adapt civic and character education to leverage internet tools, the research aims to reveal effective practices and common challenges in fostering students’ digital competencies alongside their understanding of Pancasila values. Methodology: Adopting a descriptive qualitative approach, the study proceeded in three phases: problem identification, data collection, and analysis. Data were gathered at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo through classroom observations of Pancasila lessons, semi‑structured interviews with school leaders, Pancasila Education teachers, and students, and document review of lesson plans and digital assignments. Thematic analysis was used to code and interpret patterns in teacher strategies, encountered barriers, and implemented remedies. Results: Findings show that teachers successfully integrate internet resources into Pancasila Education by assigning group projects that require students to research diverse online sources, encouraging collaborative inquiry and critical evaluation. Students generally respond positively to this digital approach. However, a major obstacle is students’ low reading motivation: many prefer instantaneous, entertaining online activities (such as gaming or social media) over more demanding research tasks. To address this, teachers have introduced gamified quizzes, multimedia presentations, and scaffolded reading guides to make digital research more engaging and manageable. Applications/Originality/Value: By documenting concrete strategies—such as collaborative web research and gamification of content— alongside practical solutions to boost reading engagement, this study offers a replicable framework for vocational schools aiming to strengthen both digital literacy and Pancasila values. Educational leaders and policymakers can leverage these insights to design teacher‑training programs and curriculum resources that balance immediate student interests with deeper, values‑based learning objectives in the digital age

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chat GPT and hard work character on students' critical thinking skills. Methodology: This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design. The popu-lation in this study was 5,582,774 students who live in Java. The sample tak-en in this study was 270 students. Data collection techniques involve distrib-uting questionnaires to students who fit the criteria. This study uses prerequi-site test data analysis techniques, namely the normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. Hypothesis testing is done using the T test and F test. Results: The results showed a positive relationship between the use of Chat GPT and students' critical thinking skills. There is a positive influence between the use of Chat GPT on critical thinking skills characterized by 207 or 76.7% of stu-dents have high knowledge, skills in using, and frequency of using Chat GPT. There is also a positive relationship between the character of hard work and students' critical thinking skills, which is characterized by 208 or 77% of students having a hard work character during their college life. Students who have critical thinking skills or high level thinking are 241 or 89.3% of students. Applications/Originality/Value: This research can be a reference material for developing more effective learning methods in the digital era. The renewal of this research with previ-ous studies is because it combines two variables simultaneously, namely the use of Chat GPT and the character of hard work on students' critical thinking skills.
