Abstract

The growth of the digital industry has increased health products, especially herbal products. Desoil Healthy Box Shop takes advantage of this opportunity by offering herbal products online. Changes in consumer preferences to web platforms or mobile applications are due to ease of ordering and product variety. To compete in the herbal industry, operational efficiency is important. Web-based sales systems automate orders, payments, and shipping, reducing manual workload and increasing productivity. This system also enables better service to customers through easy product browsing and accurate information about availability. Competitive advantage is the main focus. Implementing a web-based sales system can differentiate Healthy Box Store from competitors by providing easy access and a better shopping experience. PT Yabes Innovation Prima has tried marketing via Instagram and Facebook, but the results have not been satisfactory. This research aims to design a web-based e- commerce application for herbal health products using the Waterfall method to expand the market and increase turnover.

Abstract

Management Information Systems (MIS) are essential for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the digital era to improve economic performance. MIS enables SMEs to optimize business processes, reduce operational costs, and increase productivity and competitiveness through accurate and real-time business data. SMEs are often hampered by a lack of access to timely information, which affects strategic decision-making. With MIS, SMEs gain in-depth insights into business performance, enabling more effective and efficient decision-making. However, the implementation of MIS is faced with challenges such as limited finances and technological knowledge. Support from the government and related institutions, including software subsidies and training programs, is essential to help SMEs overcome these obstacles. Proper implementation of MIS can increase operational efficiency, improve economic performance, and ensure long-term business sustainability, enabling SMEs to thrive in an increasingly digital and competitive economy.

Abstract

Waste is a common problem frequently encountered in school environments, including at SMK Bina Putra Mandiri. The manual waste management process often causes several issues such as delayed collection, waste accumulation, and inefficiency in utilizing sanitation resources. To address these problems, this research aims to develop an automatic classroom waste management monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The system is built using an ESP32 microcontroller, ultrasonic sensors, and a servo motor to detect waste volume in real-time and automatically control the trash bin lid mechanism. Sensor data are transmitted to a web-based dashboard built with Bootstrap SB Admin 2 via the MQTT protocol, allowing school administrators to monitor the condition of all trash bins centrally and efficiently. The development process applies the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which emphasizes fast and gradual design and testing based on user feedback. The implementation results show that the system can display the waste bin’s capacity level with high accuracy and automatically send notifications when the bin is full. Additionally, the system can record historical data to support the school’s cleanliness evaluation process. The implementation of this system makes waste management more efficient, organized, and supports the application of IoT technology in creating a cleaner and more sustainable school environment.
