Abstract

Currently, many automatic and practical tools have been created. Including in the world of health, for example baby incubators. Baby incubators are generally used for babies born prematurely. Baby incubators generally still use manual methods in controlling the temperature of the incubator room, for example the temperature in the incubator is above the ideal temperature, or even the temperature is below the required temperature. So the role of the operator, in this case the doctor or nurse, is still dominant. With this problem, we need a system that can control and monitor the baby incubator temperature based on web and SMS, making it easier for doctors and nurses to monitor the baby's condition. This tool will be developed to be web and SMS based. With the development of this tool, it is hoped that it can help doctors and nurses in monitoring the condition of babies in incubators.

Abstract

Traditional agriculture refers to farming that utilizes natural and local techniques, relying little on modern technology or chemicals. However, traditional agricultural systems face many challenges, including low productivity; traditional farming may not be as productive as modern methods. Additionally, dependence on weather conditions poses a significant barrier to production. To improve the quality and productivity of traditional agriculture, methodologies such as developing smart farming systems can be implemented. Smart farming applies technology in agriculture to enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability through sensors and IoT devices to manage and monitor agricultural activities more effectively. The smart farming system to be developed is based on the SCADA concept, where control of devices such as temperature sensors, soil moisture, light, and rainfall sensors, as well as actuators, is managed via the ModBus protocol based on the RS-485 RTU module. For controllers connected to the internet server, the ESP32 module will be used. Users can access the system using smartphones or laptops equipped with a wireless modem to establish remote connections via the internet. Thus, the application of this technology can significantly increase agricultural productivity and improve the efficiency of managing fields and crops. Users do not need to be physically present on-site, as the system can be controlled and monitored remotely from a distance.

Abstract

Charging controllers are utilized in various electronic systems to manage and safeguard the charging and discharging rates of batteries. For off-grid photovoltaic (PV) systems, two main technologies are employed: Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). This study compares two charging controllers in PV systems with the same technical specifications to evaluate their performance under similar environmental conditions. Both controllers are built on original firmware and hardware designs, incorporating PWM and MPPT technologies. Each PV system includes a charging controller, a 30 W solar panel, and a 12V 18Ah battery. During experimental trials, voltage and current measurements were taken at both the panel and battery during charging and discharging. The findings reveal that the MPPT controller achieves a higher average efficiency than the PWM controller, indicating that the technology used in the charging controller significantly affects efficiency, even in less than ideal solar radiation and temperature conditions. While the PWM controller is a more budget-friendly option with satisfactory efficiency, the MPPT controller outperforms it in efficiency.

Abstract

If we look at the ability to carry out routine administrative work, we see that there are several factors that need to be improved, so that the performance of the teaching staff at SMA Mahapatih Mojopahit Tangerang can be improved for the better. As it is known that office administrative work to support the teaching and learning process is very important. Because the management of school student data and the administrative process will lead to the success of teaching and learning in schools. So our goal as partners feels the need to increase cooperation in the form of skills training in the use of software packages, especially software that is commonly used in schools to manage student data and other administrative data. We chose MS Excel as the main material in the training because this software package is easy and practical to use for training school staff. Starting with teaching how to operate the software properly and correctly, and followed by examples and applications in making tables and simple calculations. The result of this training is an increase in the skills of school administration and teaching staff, so that performance in the administrative field which is an important factor in the teaching and learning process can be achieved more effectively and efficiently.
