Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the learning of unit debit with PMR approach and (2) describe the reasoning ability of grade V students on unit debit material. This research was conducted at SDK Lamawalang on April 20, 2024. The subjects in this study were fifth grade students of SDK Lamawalang. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research, where researchers describe learning practices using PMR models and students' mathematical reasoning abilities after the learning process.  Data analysis techniques used include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. The results showed that, (1) the steps of learning unit debit material with PMR model are: (a) understanding contextual problems, (b) solving problems, (c) comparing and discussing answers, (e) drawing conclusions, (2) based on indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, (a) making conjectures, (b) performing mathematical manipulations, (c) compiling evidence, providing reasons/evidence for the correctness of the solution, and (d) drawing conclusions from a statement, obtained for problem I, 20 students can achieve 1-4 indicators of mathematical reasoning, 1 student can achieve 1-3 indicators of mathematical reasoning. For problem 2, 18 students can achieve 1-4 indicators of mathematical reasoning, while 3 students can achieve 1-2 indicators of mathematical reasoning.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a mathematical concept contained in a culture. The concept of ethnomathematics can support cultural preservation based on daily activities, customs, and traditional knowledge. This research aims to find out the process of playing congklak and describe the elements of mathematics in the congklak game in Adonara. This research uses qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The subjects in this  study were 5 people, namely 1 resource person and 4 children who played congklak. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself. The auxiliary instruments are observation guidelines and interview guidelines. The results of the study obtained mathematical elements in the game of congklak, namely counting operations (multiplication, subtraction and addition), flat shapes (square, rectangle and circle), space, half a ball

Abstract

The type of research used is qualitative research. The data collection methods employed by the researcher were written tests, interviews, and documentation, while the data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study aims to: (1) describe the mathematics learning process on the statistics topic using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model; and (2) describe students’ problem-solving abilities in the statistics topic after participating in learning using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The research was conducted at SMPN 3 Tanjung Bunga from January to June 2025. The subjects in this study were eighth-grade students of SMPN 3 Tanjung Bunga in the 2025/2026 academic year. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.The results showed that, based on the written test conducted with 9 students after participating in mathematics learning using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model: for Problem 1, out of 9 students, 7 students were able to achieve indicators 1–4, and 2 students only achieved indicator 1 in problem-solving ability. For Problem 2, all 9 students were able to achieve indicators 1–4 of problem-solving ability. For Problem 3, 7 students were able to achieve indicators 1–4 of problem-solving ability, while 2 students only achieved indicators 1–3 of problem-solving ability.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian desain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendesain perangkat pembelajaran berupa Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) yang berisikan aktivitas-aktivitas pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PBL dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahamn konsep siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP St. Isidorus, Desa Bantala, Kecamatan Lewolema pada bulan Mei 2025. Subjek penelitian ini siswa-siswi SMP St. Isidorus pada kelas VIII A sebagai kelas uji coba dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas penelitian. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah proses pembelajaran, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), dokumentasi, tes tertulis, wawancara dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan peneliti adalah teknik analisis menurut Miles dan Huberman (Syamsuddin, 2023) yaitu reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data display) dan verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan (conclusion). Lintasan belajar untuk membelajarkan materi bangun ruang dengan pendekatan PBL secara teoritis mampu memfasilitasi penemuan konsep luas permukaan dan volume limas persegi dan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian ini hanya terbatas pada materi limas. Oleh karena itu, peneliti lain dapat mengembangkan lintasan belajar pada materi bangun ruang dan meteri lainnya untuk membantu siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kreativitas peserta agar dapat memanfaatkan sampah untuk membuat kerajinan tangan yang mempunyai nilai jual. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2024. Dalam kegiatan ini peserta diharapkan memahami cara menangani sampah dan mampu membuat berbagai macam kerajinan tangan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan kreasi dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan kreasi dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan keaktifan dan kreativitas mahasiswa dalam berkreasi membuat vas bunga, lampu tidur dan sofa. Hasil kreasinya dipamerkan pada acara Ferstival Bale Nagi. Peserta kegiatan kreasi sangat antusias, berlatih dan berkreasi hingga menjadi terampil, hal ini dapat dilihat dari kegiatan pada tahap persiapan hingga evaluasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep Teorema Pythagoras dengan mengembangkan Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian desain dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Kegiatan penelitian berlangsung di SMPS Dharma Nusa, Desa Helanlangowuyo, Kecamatan Ile Boleng pada bulan Mei 2025, dengan subjek siswa kelas VIII. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui proses pembelajaran, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), tes tertulis, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data meliputi reduksi, penyajian, serta verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) secara teoretis, lintasan belajar berbasis PBL dapat memfasilitasi penemuan konsep Teorema Pythagoras; (2) kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa meningkat, di mana pada masalah 1, 19 dari 20 siswa mencapai indikator 1-4, sedangkan 1 siswa belum mencapai indikator 4; pada masalah 2, 18 siswa mencapai indikator 1-4, dan 2 siswa belum mencapai indikator 3-4.

Abstract

The low level of numeracy literacy in elementary schools, reflected in Indonesia's PISA mathematics score of 366, requires an innovative approach. This study focuses on the use of the educational game "jumping numbers" to hone mathematical numeracy skills, particularly the concept of multiplication, at SDK Nubuntawa Kolotobo. The research method was implemented through three systematic stages including preparation, needs observation, integrative implementation, and evaluation of activity results. The findings indicate that this game significantly honed students' numeracy skills through concrete representations of numbers on used cardboard cards. In addition to conceptual understanding, this activity successfully encouraged group collaboration, increased intrinsic motivation, and created an active and participatory learning atmosphere. Students showed increased self-confidence and high enthusiasm in solving multiplication problems through fun physical movements. In conclusion, the game "jumping numbers" is a highly effective and innovative strategy to address the challenges of numeracy literacy at the elementary school level. This learning-through-play strategy not only optimizes cognitive aspects but also develops character values ​​such as cooperation, honesty, and discipline. The widespread implementation of this method has the potential to improve the quality of mathematics education to be more humanistic and meaningful for students, so that numeracy literacy can become ingrained as a daily habit in social life in order to realize the profile of a generation that is ready to face global dynamics that are based on continuous data. ABSTRAK Rendahnya literasi numerasi di sekolah dasar, terlihat dari skor matematika PISA Indonesia sebesar 366, memerlukan pendekatan inovatif. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pemanfaatan permainan edukatif "lompat angka" untuk mengasah keterampilan numerasi matematika, khususnya konsep perkalian, di SDK Nubuntawa Kolotobo. Metode penelitian dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan sistematis meliputi persiapan observasi kebutuhan, pelaksanaan integratif, serta evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa permainan ini secara signifikan mampu mengasah kecakapan numerasi siswa melalui representasi konkret angka-angka pada media kartu kardus bekas. Selain pemahaman konsep, aktivitas ini berhasil mendorong kolaborasi kelompok, meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik, serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif dan partisipatif. Siswa menunjukkan peningkatan rasa percaya diri dan antusiasme yang tinggi dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal perkalian melalui gerak fisik yang menyenangkan. Kesimpulannya, permainan lompat angka merupakan strategi yang sangat efektif dan inovatif untuk mengatasi tantangan literasi numerasi di tingkat sekolah dasar. Strategi belajar sambil bermain ini tidak hanya mengoptimalkan aspek kognitif, tetapi juga mengembangkan nilai karakter seperti kerja sama, kejujuran, dan disiplin. Implementasi metode ini secara luas berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan matematika yang lebih humanis dan bermakna bagi peserta didik, sehingga literasi numerasi dapat mendarah daging sebagai kebiasaan sehari-hari dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat guna mewujudkan profil generasi yang siap menghadapi dinamika global yang serba berbasis data berkesinambungan.
