Abstract

This study aims to find out the implementation of Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning persons with disabilities in the protection and fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities and the factors that hinder Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning persons with disabilities in the protection and fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities in the Barru Regency Social Service by using the type of qualitative research the type of data used consists of primary and secondary data, accompanied by data collection techniques, namely, observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the analysis techniques used are, through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of this study show that the implementation of Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning persons with disabilities in the protection and fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities in the Barru Regency Social Service is quite good with indicators, namely the implementation of Law Number 8 of 2016, problems encountered by persons with disabilities in accessibility, the existence of regional regulations (PERDA) on the fulfillment of the rights and protection of persons with disabilities, rights obtained by persons with disabilities, duties and functions of the government for persons with disabilities, while the factors that affect the implementation of Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning persons with disabilities in the protection and fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities in the Barru Regency Social Service are factors of legal structure or legal substance that still lack technical performances that specifically regulate persons with disabilities and organized infrastructure facilities as well as the capacity of the apparatus The government still lacks understanding of the main duties, functions and socializing on disabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of a greenhouse with a solar panel roof as an effort to optimize watermelon cultivation in the Tunas Harapan Farmer Group, located in Tellumpanua Village, Tanete Rilau Subdistrict, Barru Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through field observations, interviews, and documentation. The greenhouse functions to protect crops from extreme climate changes, while the solar panels provide an eco-friendly energy source for irrigation and temperature control systems. The findings indicate an increase in crop productivity, reduced operational costs, and improved water-use efficiency. Furthermore, this technology enhanced farmers’ awareness of renewable energy and sustainable agriculture. The implementation of solar-powered greenhouses proved to be an effective and applicable innovation to overcome climate challenges and strengthen local food security. These results are expected to serve as a reference for the development of sustainable agricultural technology in rural areas.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas upaya optimalisasi potensi ekonomi melalui pengelolaan sampah dengan penerapan pola 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) di Kelurahan Lalolang, Kecamatan Tanete Rilau, Kabupaten Barru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana penerapan pola 3R dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomi lokal serta mengurangi dampak lingkungan yang dihasilkan oleh sampah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi survei lapangan, wawancara dengan masyarakat setempat, dan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pola 3R tidak hanya berhasil mengurangi volume sampah tetapi juga membuka peluang ekonomi baru bagi masyarakat melalui pemanfaatan kembali dan daur ulang sampah. Artikel ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan model pengelolaan sampah berbasis komunitas yang dapat diadaptasi di wilayah lain dengan karakteristik serupa.
