Abstract

Researchers intend to research the role of character education in the implementation of independent curriculum learning in class 4 of SDN 2 Sengon. This research can later become a benchmark for teachers in providing character education-based learning in the learning process using the independent curriculum, so that teachers can further develop the character education process that is applied to learning using the independent curriculum. In the research that was carried out, researchers found the results of the character education system and process in the learning process using the independent curriculum in class 4 of SDN 2 Sengon. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, while the approach used is descriptive. The role of the researcher in this research is as a full observer. There are 2 types of research data sources in this study, namely primary data sources, namely class teachers, school principals and class IV students at SDN 2 Sengon. Meanwhile, secondary data sources are taken from data and documentation of research results. The data collection method used by researchers is observation, interviews and questionnaires. From interviews conducted by researchers with the Principal of SDN 2 Sengon, researchers found that SDN 2 Sengon globally emphasizes character education, especially religious character. This is shown in the activities that are always carried out every day at school. These activities include TPA Fiqh, Al-Qur'an, Hadith activities as well as congregational Dhuha and midday prayers. However, on the other hand, SDN 2 Sengon also emphasizes other characters, for example nationalism and independence. These character development activities are always developed through daily activities for students and are cultivated so that these characters can be attached to students. Through the results described above, it can be concluded that character education activities have been implemented well at SDN 2 Sengon. This is reinforced by the results of observations of character development which is considered to continue to increase every month.

Abstract

Mosaic and collage drill is an obligatory course at Primary School Teacher Education Department of Universitas Islam Balitar. However, the result of learning process is less optimum in its esthetic function. In addition to being unstable, the product of mosaic and collage has low price due to the use of things attached using glue. Therefore, learning process of mosaic and collage drill is an effort to enhance entrepreneurial skill of the students of Primary School Teacher Education at Universitas Islam Balitar. This research aims at describing the implementation of drill method to enhance the students’ entrepreneurial skill by improving creativity on mosaic and collage material. This research adopted qualitative approach. The type of research was Classroom Action Research. Findings revealed significant improvement at cycle 1 in the creation of mosaic, that is, 11.11%. Meanwhile, in the creation of collage was 16.66%. At cycle 2, the percentage of mosaic creation was 77.77%, while collage creation was 94.44%. Of 18 students, no one did not understand the preliminary materials of mosaic and collage. This finding suggests that the implementation of drill technique can enhance students’ entrepreneurial skill, creativity, and innovation in creation process especially the students of Primary School Teacher Education of Universitas Islam Balitar.

Abstract

Development of Teaching Materials for Elementary School Drama and Dance Arts Based on Local Wisdom in Trenggalek Regency, is an alternative for documenting all work resulting from the course process. Apart from that, it can be used as a PGSD student handbook to support the learning process. This teaching material has a special feature because the attached work is in the form of a video sourced from the local wisdom of Trenggalek Regency. The research implementation process was carried out in three stages, namely: 1) preliminary study and data collection, 2) planning and developing an initial draft, 3) validation test/review by validators. This is due to the limitations of researchers. The results of the review from language expert validators of the draft Teaching Material Book above obtained a score of 33 and after dividing the maximum number and percentage, the result was 82.5%. Meanwhile, the results of the review from the material validator got a score of 36 and after dividing the maximum number and giving a percentage, the result was 90%. The validation of these two aspects can be added up and divided by the maximum score, so that the total percentage of the draft Teaching Material Book is 82.25%. So that the draft Teaching Material Book for Elementary School Drama Arts and Dance Learning Courses can be declared valid in terms of appropriateness elements both in terms of language and material.
