Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are one of the health problems that cause many deaths in the world. This non-communicable disease is not transmitted from one individual to another. The public must know how to detect this non-communicable disease early, so efforts are needed to increase public knowledge. The aim of community service through Non-Communicable Disease Screening by Bengkulu Ministry of Health Polytechnic Students in RT 3, Lempuing Village, Ratu Agung District is to provide knowledge, especially to the Elderly Community, about non-communicable diseases and the importance of carrying out regular blood pressure checks and sugar checks. blood and cholesterol to detect non-communicable diseases. Community service activities are carried out for screening and education about PTM to the community in the area. The health examination included measuring blood pressure, instantaneous blood sugar (GDS), cholesterol, height, weight and abdominal circumference for the 45 elderly people who attended. This activity was carried out at a posbindu event using a 5 table system. The results of this service were found from 43 respondents, including 31 people with hypertension, 2 people with diabetes mellitus, 11 people with prediabetes, 11 people with high cholesterol and 12 people with moderate cholesterol.

Abstract

Background: Immunization is one way to increase children's immunity to prevent diseases, especially infectious diseases. Immunization through injections can experience a direct effect, namely pain. Immunization injections, if not properly managed, can cause injuries that cause pain short-term and long-term effects on babies. One of the non-pharmacological pain managements that can be done is cuddle therapeutic side sitting position and breastfeeding. Purpose: To determine the effect of therapeutic side-sitting and breastfeeding on immunization pain scores in infants aged 0-12 months. Method: Quasi-experimental research with post-test only control group method, conducted at Sawah Lebar Community Health Center, Bengkulu City in March-April 2025. The independent variables are cuddle therapeutic side sitting position and breastfeeding while the dependent variable is immunization pain in infants. The sampling technique using total sampling obtained a total sample of 46 respondents who were divided into intervention and control groups, with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis used univariate in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate using the Mann Whitney test. Results: Mann-Whitney test showed p=0.000, meaning that there was a difference in the average pain score between the intervention group and the control group. It can be concluded that cuddle therapeutic side-sitting position and breastfeeding have a significant effect on pain scores in infants during immunization. Conclusion: Mann-Whitney test showed p=0.000, meaning that there was a difference in the average pain score between the intervention group and the control group. It can be concluded that cuddle therapeutic side-sitting position and breastfeeding have a significant effect on pain scores in infants during immunization.   Keywords: Breastfeeding; Cuddle Therapeutic; Immunization Pain; Infant; Side Sitting Position.   Pendahuluan: Imunisasi adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kekebalan tubuh anak-anak guna mencegah penyakit, terutama penyakit menular. Imunisasi melalui suntikan dapat menimbulkan efek langsung, yaitu rasa sakit. Suntikan imunisasi, jika tidak dikelola dengan baik, dapat menyebabkan cedera yang menimbulkan rasa sakit serta efek jangka pendek dan jangka panjang pada bayi. Salah satu metode pengelolaan rasa sakit non-farmakologis yang dapat dilakukan adalah posisi duduk menyamping dengan pelukan terapeutik dan menyusui. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh cuddle therapeutic side sitting position dan breastfeeding terhadap nyeri imunisasi bayi usia 0-12 bulan. Hasil: Uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan p-value sebesar 0.000, artinya ada perbedaan rata-rata skor nyeri antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol, sehingga cuddle therapeutic side-sitting position dan breastfeeding berpengaruh signifikan terhadap skor nyeri pada bayi saat imunisasi. Metode: Penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan metode post-test only control group, dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Sawah Lebar, Kota Bengkulu pada bulan Maret-April 2025. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah cuddle therapeutic side sitting position  dan breastfeeding, sedangkan variabel dependen adalah nyeri imunisasi pada bayi. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dan didapatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 46 partisipan, terbagi ke dalam kelompok intervensi dan kontrol sesuai kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Analisis data yang digunakan univariat dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi dan bivariat menggunakan uji Mann Whitney. Simpulan: Posisi cuddle therapeutic side sitting memberikan rasa aman, stabilitas, dan kedekatan fisik antara bayi dan orang tua, sehingga dapat menenangkan bayi dan menurunkan respon nyeri.   Kata Kunci: Bayi; Breastfeeding; Cuddle Therapeutic; Nyeri Imunisasi; Side Sitting Position.
