Abstract

The refractive index value can be determined using various methods, one of which is the principle of Snell's law. . This research aims to compare the refractive index of Pertalite and Pertamax fuel oil and prove Snell's law. This research was conducted at the Optical Laboratory of the Tadris Physics Study Program, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Jakarta. The main materials used are Pertamax and Pertalite as the fluid, then laser, ruler, glass container, pen, protractor, HVS paper. The results obtained from this experiment, namely the refractive index value for Pertalite, obtained an average value of 1.36 and for the refractive index for Pertamax, the average value was 1.653, so it can be concluded that the refractive rays in Pertamax are greater than the refractive rays in Pertalite. So, for its use, Pertamax is more efficient compared to Pertalite.Keywords: Refractive index, refraction, pertalite, and Pertamax

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the humidity levels and their impact on the comfort ofboarding house residents around UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta campus. Boardinghouses, as temporary residences for students, play a vital role in supportingacademic success, where environmental quality, especially thermal comfort, iscrucial. This research employs a quantitative approach with descriptive andcorrelational methods. Data collection was conducted by measuring humidity levelsusing a digital psychrometer in several boarding houses around Campus 1, Campus2, and Campus 3 of UIN Jakarta. The variables examined include humidity (%RH) asthe independent variable, and the comfort level of residents as the dependentvariable. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to describe the humiditylevels and compare them with Indonesia's thermal comfort standards, whichcategorize comfort based on temperature and humidity. The results showed that thehumidity levels in most boarding houses fell into the "almost comfortable" or"uncomfortable" categories, potentially affecting residents' comfort, learningconcentration, as well as their physical and mental health. This study is expected toprovide valuable information for boarding house managers and students in creatinga more comfortable and supportive living environment.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa e-modul yang berbasis website berbantuan Microsoft Powerpoint untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi gelombang bunyi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian Research and Development dengan model pengembangan 4D. Uji validitas, uji efektivitas dan uji kepraktisan dilakukan untuk menguji kelayakan e-modul. Hasil presentase uji validitas yang diperoleh dari ahli materi sebesar 92,83%, dari ahli bahasa  92,53%, dan 91,67% dari ahli media. Berdasarkan uji validitas tersebut, e-modul berbasis website berbantuan Microsoft Powerpoint dinyatakan layak dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil uji efektivitas e-modul terhadap hasil belajar menghasilkan skor N-Gain 0,582 atau secara persentase 58% yang artinya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada kriteria sedang atau cukup efektif. Respon siswa terhadap uji kepraktisan  menghasilkan skor sebesar 75,4%, sedangkan respon guru mendapatkan skor 75%. Respon keduanya menjadi indikator praktis pada e-modul berbasis website. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul berbasis website berbantuan Microsoft Powerpoint telah memenuhi kriteria valid, efektif dan praktis sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yang inovatif, mudah diakses, dan mampu meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar siswa.
