Abstract

Distribution plays a crucial role in ensuring fair allocation of resources and commodities to individuals in a community, with the objective of achieving maslahat (benefit). In Islamic economics, distribution has a broader significance compared to other economic systems, encompassing the fair distribution of resources, goods, and services through market mechanisms, enabling individuals to experience the benefits of produced commodities. This research aims to examine the importance of fair wealth distribution in Islam using principles such as waqaf, qard al-Hasan, musharakah, mudharabah, zakat, and infaq. Employing a qualitative methodology, data was collected from papers, research journals, books, and written sources, which were reviewed, interpreted, and analyzed through content analysis. The findings indicate that distribution instruments in Islamic economics serve as effective means to achieve fair and equitable distribution within society. By implementing waqaf, qard al-Hasan, musharakah, mudharabah, zakat, and infaq, communities can attain social justice and reduce economic disparities. However, public awareness, adequate infrastructure, and a supportive regulatory framework are crucial factors for the successful implementation of these distribution instruments. Through appropriate efforts, these instruments can become powerful tools in fostering a more inclusive, sustainable, and just economy.

Abstract

With advances in internet network technology, information and communication services are no longer constrained by time and place constraints. Online learning emphasizes distance learning to provide the best educational process possible. Online learning is a type of information technology advancement that can be used as a teaching aid. In this work, the authors use descriptive research techniques to conduct a more in-depth analysis of the theories and trends in advances in online learning. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a pioneer in the development of online education. In a computer-based education system, the University of Illinois has started e-learning by utilizing a computer called PLATO. The e-learning classroom learning model is a significant development in the teaching and learning process because it can reduce variations in teaching strategies and course materials and increase the consistency of learning. To prepare, with the help of technology, when everything shifts to the digital era, both in terms of methods and content, online learning systems are very important.

Abstract

This study discusses strategies for improving entertainment tax compliance at UPT Region VI Bapenda Medan City, which is an important part of the Regional Original Income (PAD). This study identifies the low level of entertainment tax compliance in Indonesia, which only reached 62% nationally and 55% in Medan City in 2022. Factors influencing non-compliance include weak supervision, low taxpayer awareness, and the complexity of tax mechanisms. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study explores the impact of non-compliance and proposes a compliance model-based strategy that includes four levels: (1) "willing to do the right thing", (2) "try to, but don't" t always succeed", (3) "don't want to comply", and (4) "have decided not to comply". The proposed strategy includes improving services, education, and strict law enforcement. The results of the study indicate that a comprehensive approach that combines persuasive, educational, and repressive elements can create a fairer and more transparent tax system, as well as encouraging taxpayers' awareness of the importance of their contribution to regional development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Genesis, Lion Parcel's internal Warehouse Management System (WMS), in enhancing operational efficiency at the Gunung Krakatau Branch in Medan. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data was obtained through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with warehouse and operations staff, as well as internal company documentation. The research findings indicate that the implementation of Genesis has had a positive impact on several efficiency indicators, including faster sorting processes, improved stock recording accuracy, reduced human error, real-time data access, and enhanced operational reporting quality. The system has also contributed to a significant decrease in customer complaints. However, the implementation of Genesis also faces several challenges, such as human resource adaptation to new technology, reliance on internet connectivity, and the need for updated standard operating procedures (SOPs). Overall, the Genesis system holds great potential to be further developed as part of Lion Parcel's digital transformation in logistics management. Its implementation not only improves operational efficiency at the branch level but can also serve as a strategic digitalization model to be widely applied throughout the company’s distribution network.
