Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore how workload and professional competence affect teacher performance in SMP Negeri 13 Kota Bandung. The study adopted a quantitative approach, utilizing multiple regression analysis. Primary data were collected through questionnaire survey administered to 31 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The results show that workload and professional competence significantly affect teacher performance in SMP Negeri 13 Kota Bandung simultaneously or partially. Furthermore, the combined effects of workload and professional competence explained 76.3% of the variance in teacher performance, while the remaining 23.7% was due to factors unobserved in this study.

Abstract

This study presents an engineering-based approach to investment modeling in the context of emerging markets, with a focus on portfolio management strategies in the Indonesian equity market. By integrating computational finance techniques and decision analytics, the research develops a structured framework for assessing risk-return dynamics and optimizing asset allocation decisions. Using daily stock return data from two representative companies across different economic sectors—PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM.JK) from telecommunications and PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO.JK) from energy/mining—the study applies Monte Carlo simulation, Value at Risk (VaR), and statistical decision modeling to evaluate both individual and combined investment performance. Results indicate distinct risk-return profiles, where PTRO.JK offers higher average returns but with significantly greater volatility compared to TLKM.JK. A cross-sector portfolio consisting of 60% TLKM.JK and 40% PTRO.JK demonstrates notable diversification benefits, reducing overall portfolio risk as evidenced by improved VaR estimates. For a hypothetical IDR 100 million investment, the diversified portfolio reduces maximum expected loss by more than 50% compared to investing solely in TLKM.JK. These findings highlight the effectiveness of quantitative, model-driven approaches in supporting strategic investment decisions. By bridging financial engineering methodologies with practical portfolio management needs in Indonesia, this study contributes a replicable framework that enhances decision-making under uncertainty, particularly for investors seeking to balance growth potential with downside risk control in multi-sector allocations.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of training programs on technician intrinsic motivation, the influence of training programs on technician performance, intrinsic motivation is a mediating variable between training programs on technician performance, the influence of training programs on technician job satisfaction, and job satisfaction is a mediating variable between training programs on the performance of aircraft technicians of PT GMF AeroAsia Tbk. The target population in this study is 3061 Aircraft Technicians who work in Base Maintenance and Line Maintenance of PT GMF AeroAsia Tbk in the working areas of Jakarta, Medan, Surabaya, Denpasar, and Makassar. The sample size was 210 respondents. Sampling applied probability sampling techniques, using a survey method with questionnaire instruments. The data was processed and analyzed using SPSS software. The results of the study showed a positive and significant influence of the training program on the intrinsic motivation of technicians, there was a positive and significant influence of the training program on the performance of technicians, intrinsic motivation was a mediating variable between the training program on the performance of technicians, there was a positive and significance influence the training program on the job satisfaction of technicians and the job satisfaction was a mediating variable between the training program on the performance of PT Aircraft Technicians GMF AeroAsia Tbk. Based on the results of the determination test, the contribution of the influence was prevented on work performance by 69.1%.
