Abstract

This paper explores the scientific and technological contributions of ancient China and ancient Greece, highlighting key innovations and their lasting impacts. Ancient China was characterized by a practical and empirical approach to scientific inquiry, resulting in significant advancements in agriculture, astronomy, medicine, engineering, and information dissemination.  Greek contributions to medicine, guided by the Hippocratic Oath, laid the groundwork for ethical medical practice. Greek engineering and architectural innovations, exemplified by structures like the Parthenon, demonstrated their mastery of design and aesthetics. Greek advancements in astronomy and the philosophical ideas of Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle profoundly shaped Western scientific methodology and intellectual traditions. By comparing these two civilizations, the paper underscores the importance of both practical application and theoretical inquiry in the development of science and technology. The influence of cultural and philosophical contexts on scientific inquiry is also examined, highlighting the interplay between science, technology, and society. The legacies of ancient China and ancient Greece have profound implications for our understanding of the development of science and technology, emphasizing the cumulative nature of scientific progress and the enduring value of ancient knowledge. The examination of his governance reveals the imprint of Legalist philosophy, with centralization, administrative reforms, and standardized systems shaping the Qin Dynasty's brief but impactful existence. The study evaluates the cultural achievements that define Qin Shi Huang's legacy, notably the Terracotta Army and monumental constructions like the Great Wall. Beyond the archaeological marvels, the paper probes the controversies surrounding his rule, including harsh legal measures, the suppression of Confucianism, and the burning of books. Abstract

This paper examines the influence of China's economic reforms from 1978 to 2020 on the growth and development of fintech in the country. Initiated under Deng Xiaoping, these reforms transitioned China from a centrally planned economy to a market-oriented one, fostering unprecedented economic growth and modernization. This study explores how key reforms, such as the decentralization of economic decision-making, the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and the opening up to foreign investment, have impacted the fintech sector. By analyzing early developments, key players, and technological advancements in fintech, the paper highlights the pivotal role of economic policies and investments in shaping China's digital financial landscape. The research employs qualitative methods, including interviews with industry experts and analysis of relevant documents, to provide a comprehensive understanding of the sector's evolution. Ming and Qing Dynasties, characterized by peaks and declines, unravel tales of maritime exploration, cultural integration, and foreign invasions. The narrative then unfolds into modern China, tracing the transformative phases of the late Qing and Republican era, the seismic shifts brought about by the Communist Revolution, and the subsequent economic reforms leading to China's resurgence on the global stage. A pivotal aspect of this exploration lies in drawing connections between Chinese civilizations and other contemporaneous societies.
