Abstract

In the wake of disasters, the efficient and safe mobilization of patients is a critical component of disaster management. This article explores the role of community service counseling in enhancing patient mobilization during such emergencies. Community service programs play a pivotal role in educating and training volunteers, healthcare professionals, and first responders on best practices for safely transferring patients to and from chairs, beds, long spine boards, and crutches. By focusing on the unique challenges presented by disaster scenarios, this counseling initiative aims to improve the preparedness of communities and healthcare systems. The program emphasizes the importance of proper techniques, coordination, and communication to minimize the risks associated with patient transfers in high-stress environments. Through case studies and practical examples, this article demonstrates how targeted counseling and training can significantly reduce injuries and improve outcomes during disaster response efforts. Ultimately, this work underscores the necessity of integrating community-based education into broader disaster management strategies to ensure that patient mobilization is handled with the utmost care and efficiency. The primary target of this community service activity is the students at Sirajussa'adah Limo Islamic Boarding School in Depok. The training methods, including lectures, discussions, simulations, and role-playing, are designed to teach patient mobilization techniques. The intended outcome is that students will be capable of providing immediate assistance with patient mobilization in the community, potentially reducing medical expenses for individuals and their families, thereby contributing to economic resilience."

Abstract

Research aims: this study aims to investigate the effect of Occupational Safety and Health Management, Workload, and Safety Behavior on Work Safety. Design/Methodology/Approach: Drawing from the social exchange theory and flow theory, a theoretical framework was developed and tested using data collected from 80 PT. PLN (Persero) workers. A questionnaire survey was used to collect the data, while structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis was used as the data analysis approach. Research findings: The results reveal that both occupational safety and health management and safety behavior have a significantly positive impact on work safety amongst PT. PLN (Persero) workers and Workload do not affect Work Safety. Theoretical contribution/Originality: This study contributes to the Work safety literature by examining how work safety indicators such as occupational safety and health management affect work safety. In the context of PT. PLN (Persero) worker's occupational safety and health management is important, as the workers are frequently exposed to and threatened by serious work safety problems. Yet, there has been a paucity of research on the PT. PLN (Persero) sector to understand the relationship. Research limitation/implication: the study implies that when organizations are willing to improve occupational safety and health management, their employees will perceive improved work safety, and then will have more safety behavior and work safety.

Abstract

Employee turnover is a critical issue for organizations, affecting productivity, morale, and operational continuity. Understanding the determinants of turnover intention is essential for developing strategies to retain valuable employees. This study investigates the factors influencing turnover intention among employees at PT ETU in Jakarta. Utilizing a saturated sampling method, data were collected from all 55 employees of the company. The analysis was conducted using path analysis techniques, with data processed through SmartPLS 4.0. The findings reveal that workload exerts a positive and significant impact on turnover intention, indicating that higher workload levels are associated with an increased likelihood of employees intending to leave the organization. Conversely, the quality of work life demonstrates a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, suggesting that better quality of work life reduces the propensity for employees to consider leaving their jobs. These results underscore the importance of managing workload and enhancing the quality of work life to mitigate turnover intention at Start-up Company.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the cornerstone of Indonesia's economy; nonetheless, numerous entities encounter difficulties in sustaining consistent quality in their products and services. This constraint impacts client retention, competitiveness, and long-term economic viability. In July 2025, a quality management outreach program was implemented in Depok City for 35 members of the Wira Usaha Baru (WUB) initiative in response to these difficulties. The outreach sought to enhance participants' comprehension and implementation of quality management principles, encompassing standard operating procedures (SOPs), fundamental quality control methodologies, and customer feedback systems. The activity employed a participatory learning paradigm, incorporating interactive lectures, practical workshops, group discussions, and mentorship sessions. The results demonstrated a notable enhancement in participants' understanding and awareness of quality practices. Additionally, post-training self-evaluations indicated that 80% of participants commenced the implementation of SOPs, while 65% integrated customer feedback mechanisms within a week. The results corroborate earlier research indicating that quality management can enhance MSME performance. Implementing organized quality processes enhances productivity and product consistency, hence augmenting client happiness and prospective sales growth. This outreach initiative has shown that even basic, cost-effective quality interventions can have significant impacts when customized to the context and capabilities of MSMEs. Consequently, fostering quality awareness must be a fundamental component of capacity-building programs for nascent firms.
