Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of postgraduate students of Sunan Giri University Surabaya in teaching PAI material. This research used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Researchers conducted a process of collecting, reducing, and interpreting/concluding data, then testing the validity of the data through triangulation techniques. The results showed that 1) many students understand the definition of the Qur'an and the definition of revelation in detail so that students are able to understand the similarities and differences between the Qur'an and revelation itself and the relationship between the two, can interpret the content of the Qur'an based on the names that have been explained and can conclude that Allah proclaimed himself in sending down the Qur'an. 2) Factors determining teacher success include the importance of applying theory in a real context, increasing teacher competence aimed at cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects and professional teachers are required to always develop themselves in line with advances in science, technology and art.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar merupakan hal yang penting sekali untuk diperhatikan oleh seorang pengajarmaupun pengelola lembaga pendidikan supaya tujuan belajar dapat sukses dengan maksimal sesuai yang diharapkan oleh lembaga pendidikan. Untuk itu, studi ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran dan lingkungan belajar terhadap motivasi belajar santri di pesantren Kontemporer Al-Hilmu Prigen Pasuruan. Studi ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif dengan populasi sebanyak 107 santri setingkat SMA, sedangkan sampelnya sebanyak 35 santri setingkat SMA kelas XII. Metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh variabel ini terhadap motivasi belajar santri adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara metode pembelajaran dan lingkungan belajar terhadap motivasi belajar santri. Hasil studi ini menegaskan pentingnya metode pembelajaran dalam memotivasi belajar santri secara optimal, dengan demikian, penggunaan metode pembelajaran dapat membantu meningkatkan motivasi belajar santri serta kualitas pendidikan di pesantren. Kondisi lingkungan belajar yang nyaman dan kondusif memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar. Temuan ini memberikan landasan yang kuat bagi dunia pendidikan khususnya pesantren agar lebih bisa mengatur lingkungan belajar menjadi nyaman untuk tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran secara efektif.

Abstract

Leadership style in Islamic boarding schools is often rooted in the charisma and independence of a leader known as Kiai, resulting in a predominantly authoritarian leadership style. This research aims to analyze the leadership style within Islamic boarding school institutions. The subject of this research is the Contemporary Islamic Boarding School Al-Hilmu in Prigen, Pasuruan. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive, focusing on 1) the tendencies of leadership styles in boarding schools and several aspects contributing to these styles. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research findings conclude that 1) Based on the study of power source utilization, leadership behavior, and decision-making, it is concluded that the leadership style in the contemporary Islamic boarding school Al-Hilmu Prigen Pasuruan predominantly emphasizes a democratic leadership style. 2) Several factors contributing directly to the democratic leadership style in Al-Hilmu Prigen Pasuruan include a) vision and mission factors, b) characteristics and strengths of the boarding school, and c) educational levels (ability factor).
