Abstract

Science that studies the universe and its contents, as well as the events that occur in it is known as natural science or science. It is created by specialists using scientific methods. One of the most important subjects in education is Natural Sciences (IPA). However, in reality, science education is still not liked by children because it is considered difficult and boring. Thus, using 30 research subjects, researchers conducted research at SD Negeri 02 Tanjungsari, Blitar City. By using lisdas (smart electricity) design media, the researcher used a purposive sampling strategy with group A (15 students) as the experimental class and group B (15 students) as the control class. Based on the research results, the pretest value for the experimental class was 0.1492 and the posttest value was 0.02548. The growth of critical thinking patterns in the experimental class is classified as "high" based on the score above. The posttest score for the experimental class was 1.053, while the pretest score for the control class was 833. This difference was caused by the experimental class's higher critical thinking patterns, so that the posttest for the experimental class was classified as "low". The class teacher questionnaire form received a response rate of 72%. This shows that testing media suitability is very useful. Thus, it can be said that students' critical thinking skills are improved effectively by using Lisdas media, namely web-based electrical circuit content obtained through project-based learning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Wordwall-assisted Smart Card with a focus on ecosystem material, as well as increasing students' Adversity Quotient. In addition, this research also aims to test the effect of using Smart Cards assisted by Wordwall on Adversity Quotient abilities in grade V elementary school students. The approach used in this research is Research and Development (R&D), following the development steps proposed by Borg and Gall. The results of validation from media experts showed a score of 95%, while validation from material experts obtained a score of 94%. Both results are included in the "Very Valid" category. Based on student responses, the use of Smart Card media assisted by Wordwall showed a significant increase in the experimental class. This is evidenced by the results of the paired t-test whichmshows a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.00 which is smaller than 0.05. On the other hand, the control class also showed a significance result (2-tailed) of 0.003 which is also smaller than 0.05. In the hypothesis test, analysis using the Independent t-test resulted in a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05. Thus, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.

Abstract

The research focuses on the development of Articulate Storyline media for biodiversity material to enhance the scientific literacy skills of fourth-grade students. This learning media was developed to improve students’ scientific literacy by utilizing the interactive features available in Articulate Storyline, such as animations, interactive quizzes, and simulations. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D), employing the ASSURE model which consists of six steps: (1) Analyze learners, (2) State objectives, (3) Select methods, media, and materials, (4) Utilize media and materials, (5) Require learner participation, and (6) Evaluate and revise. The validation results show that the media expert obtained a percentage of 94% (very valid category), the material expert 95% (very valid category), and the test item validation 100% (very valid category). Meanwhile, the N-gain score achieved 85%, which is categorized as “Effective.” Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Articulate Storyline media for biodiversity material is effective in improving the scientific literacy skills of fourth-grade students. Abstrak. Penelitian pegembangan articulate storyline materi keanekaragaman hayati untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas IV. Media pembelajaran ini dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa dengan memanfaatkan fitur-fitur interaktif yang ada pada Articulate Storyline, seperti animasi, kuis interaktif, dan simulasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Reasearch and Development (R&D). Penelitian dan pengembangan ini mengambil model ASSURE terdiri atas 6 langkah yakni: 1) Analyze learner, 2) State objectives, 3) Select methods, media, and materials, 4) Utilize media and materials, 5) Require learner participation, dan 6) Evaluate and revise. Hasil validasi pada persentase ahli media mendapatkan 94% (kategori sanagat valid), ahli media 95 % (kategori sangat valid) dan validasi soal tes 100% (kategori sangat valid). Sedangkan Perolehan persentase N-gain menunjukkan 85% termasuk tafsiran “Efektif”. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Articulate Storyline materi keanekaragaman hayati efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa kelas IV.
