Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas fitoremediasi tanaman amazon frogbit (Hydrocharis laevigata) pada variasi konsentrasi air lindi TPA Banyuroto terhadap penurunan kadar BOD, COD, TSS, pH, N total, dan kadmium, serta mengetahui performa tanaman amazon frogbit pada variasi konsentrasi air lindi TPA Banyuroto ditinjau dari jumlah daun dan berat basah tanaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan variasi konsentrasi air lindi serta rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Penelitian ini meneliti pengaruh fi toremediasi pada tingkat konsentrasi air lindi (10, 20, dan 30%) terhadap kualitasnya selama 14 hari. Air lindi diambil dari inlet dan outlet bak pengelolaan air lindi. Kualitas air diuji sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan untuk seluruh parameter. Efektivitas fi toremediasi dihitung dengan rumus efektivitas dan performa tanaman yang meliputi jumlah daun dan berat tanaman amazon frogbit dianalisis statistik menggunakan uji One Way ANOVA untuk melihat perbedaan kualitas air sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Tanaman amazon frogbit menunjukkan potensi yang menjanjikan untuk fi toremediasi air lindi TPA, yang secara efektif mengurangi polutan pada konsentrasi lindi 10%. Kemampuan adaptasi tanaman terhadap lindi, terbukti dengan tidak adanya perubahan signifi kan pada jumlah atau berat daun, membuatnya menjadi kandidat yang cocok untuk aplikasi pengelolaan lindi.Kata kunci: air lindi, amazon frogbit, fitoremediasi, makrofitEffectiveness Hydrocharis laevigata for phytoremediation of Banyuroto Landfi ll Leachate Kabupaten Kulon Progo Abstract: This research aimed to determine the eff ectiveness of amazon frogbit (Hydrocharis laevigata) in reducing BOD, COD, TSS, pH, total N, and cadmium levels at various concentrations of Banyuroto landfi ll leachate water; and assess the performance of amazon frogbit in terms of leaf number and wet weight at diff erent leachate concentrations. This research used an experimental method with variations in leachate concentration and a completely randomized design. The study examined the eff ect of phytoremediation at leachate concentration levels (10, 20, and 30%) over 14 days. Leachate water was collected from the inlet and outlet of the leachate management basin. Water quality was tested before and after treatment for all parameters. Phytoremediation eff ectiveness was calculated, and plant performance, including the number of leaves and weight, was analyzed using the One Way ANOVA test to see diff erences in water quality before and after treatment. The amazon frogbit showed promising potential for phytoremediation of landfi ll leachate water, eff ectively reducing pollutants at 10% leachate concentration. The plant's adaptability to leachate, evident in the absence of signifi cant changes in leaf number or weight, makes it suitable for leachate management applications.
