Dalam kebijakan yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah Kota Makassar dalam pemulihan ekonomi melalui sektor UMKM, dinilai sudah berjalan dengan baik, hal itu ditandai dengan adanya bantuan sosial tunai maupun non tunai yang diberikan oleh pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kualitas UMKM, selain itu adanya berbagai pelatihan dasar bagi para pelaku UMKM agar bisa lebih kreatif dan produktif dalam mengembangkan usaha UMKM.
