Abstract

Religious learning in the era of technology and information will experience many obstacles in the realization if not accompanied by a contextual learning model. Teachings delivered will be more successful if delivered by forming aspects of sense and aspect ratio that can be accepted with common sense. Thus in the learning of religion should make the maximum innovation adjusted with space and time and in tune with the changes and development of the era. Utilization of information technology is very important in the learning of Hinduism for learning purposes can be achieved in accordance with expectations

Abstract

In religious life, at first the existence of Hindu and Buddhist very harmonious and contradictory in their home country, namely India. But the two religions in Indosesia seem very harmonious, especially in the era of the Majapahit kingdom. Moreover, the existence of Hinduism and Buddhism in Bali very harmony and even complement each other in practice and spiritual order. Buddhism is very much a substance similar to the teachings of Hinduism. In some Hindu literature was found a lot in common with the essence of Buddhism, and vice versa. Very often found literature-literature that reflects the harmony of both religions, among others: Lontar Siwagama, Kekawin Mahabharata, Ramayana Kekawin, Kekawin Arjuna Wiwaha, Kekawin Bharata Yudha and Kekawin Sutasoma, Sanghyang Kamahayanikan, Bubugsah Gagakaking and so on. By looking at it as if the two religions fused in practice in Bali, especially in the implementation of religious activities such as the ritual tawur agung in connection with the celebration of Nyepi Saka as the New Year.

Abstract

Generally, in most traditions every birth and death will be made a ritual. The implementation of these rituals will usually be adapted to the local culture. Thus in the implementation order will vary, but the substance is the same. In the tradition of the Hindu community in Bali, if there are people who died will be made Ngaben ceremony, as a form of respectful and responsibility. In the implementation of this Ngaben ceremony will always be guided by the sacred books and will be adapted to the local tradition. One of the sacred books guided in Ngaben’s ceremony is Lontar Siva Tattwa Purana. In this Lontar explained that Ngaben ceremony is an obligation of his descendants as one of the payment of Rna (debt) to his ancestors. In practice it, must be adjusted to the level of ability of his or her generation for all harmony. Further , will be explained the procedure of Ngaben ceremony in this Lontar  start from the beginning to the end.
