Abstract

This study examines the effect of job stress on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, with psychological well-being as a mediating variable, among employees in the facility services industry in South Tangerang. The research is associative in nature and employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) path analysis. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from 150 respondents. Validity and reliability tests confirmed that all indicators were valid (factor loadings > 0.45) and reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha > 0.60). The findings reveal that job stress has a significant negative effect on job satisfaction, psychological well-being, and organizational commitment. Psychological well-being has a significant positive effect on both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Job satisfaction also positively and significantly influences organizational commitment. Furthermore, psychological well-being significantly mediates the relationships between job stress and job satisfaction, as well as between job stress and organizational commitment. The practical implications highlight the importance of effective job stress management and psychological well-being programs to enhance employee satisfaction and organizational commitment.
