Abstract

Abstract Drug abuse is not only done by adults, but also by children and teenagers. The purpose of this research is to describe the characteristics of adolescent drug abusers undergoing Rehabilitation in outpatient Clinic Primary in BNN Riau Province. This research is descriptive with retrospective approach. Samples in this study is 50 respondent take with total sampling technique. Instruments used in this research is check list sheet, data is retrieved based on existing data on Adiction Severity Index (ASI). The result showed that majority respondent is 21 years old (26%), majority is male (62%), majority level of educationis High Scholar (60%), mostly employment status is unemployment (36%), the most widely used drugs is Methamphetamine (64.8%), for 1-3 years(66%), nearly all respondent undergo first rehabilitation (92%), majority live with parents (44%), and do not live with other drug abuser (63.5%), from all the respondent none involved in legal issues (100%). This research recommendation for BNN to provide information of drug abuse side effects to the whole community, especially adolescents in the Riau Province and provide motivation to adolescents so that they do not use drug. Keyword: Adolescent, Characteristics, Drugs, Rehabilitation

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know the relationship between the activities of supervision with the implementation patient safety in ward of Sub Mandau Hospital. This research method used description correlation with cross sectional approach. The sample were 44 respondents by a total sampling technique. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire for the supervision and implementation of activity variables patient safety. Analysis of the research were univariate and bivariat analysis. Univariate analysis related the age, sex, marital status, education, work and training in patient safety ever followed.  Bivariat analysis was conducted to look at the relationship between supervision activities with the implementation of patient safety with Chi Square test. Test results showed that the respondents who received good supervision activities 69.2% and respondents are implementing patient safety both of 38,9%. The Chi Square test results showed a P value = 0.066 > α = 0.05, with an Odds Ratio of 0.458 so it is not obtained by the relationship between the activities of supervision with the implementation of patient safety.  Based on the results of such research, it is expected the nurses to better improve implementation implementing patient safety especially in identifying patients to reduce the error the giving of services for patients so that patients get safe and avoid injury.Keywords              : supervision, implementation activities, patient safety

Abstract

 One of the method to improve the knowledge and the ability of husband in supporting the treatment of  new-born is by using health promotion. This research aimed to compare of health promotion by using video media and booklet toward the ability of husband in supporting the treatment of new born on husband at Sidomulyo inpatient health center area of Pekanbaru. The design of this research was “quasy experiment” by “pre-test and post-test design with two comparison treatments” Sample of this research was 34 respondents based on the inclusive criteria by using technique of purposive sampling. Measuring tool used observation sheet. Data of analysis in this research used univaried analysis to know the distribution of frequency and bivariate analysis to know the dependent T-test and independent T-test. The result of this research indicated 20 persons of respondent had early adult age group (58,8%) 22 persons who had middle education (64,7%) 16 persons were as entreprenuer (47,1%) 11 persons were malay culture (32,4%) 18 persons had 2 childs (52,9%) 32 persons had  normal born weight (94,1%). The result of brivariat analysis indicated that there were differences in ability of husband before and after done the health promotion toward media booklet group and video media by using p value (0,000) < α (0,05) however there were no differences between health promotion using booklet media and health promotion toward  the ability of husband in supporting the baby treatment who were new-born by using p value (0,712) > α (0,05). The research gives advice that using health promotion media shoud be based on the aim group in order to be more effective. Keywords    : The ability, the new-born baby treatment, health promotion, husband.

Abstract

Abstract The importance of antenatal care services regularly is to determine the health of the mother and fetus. In fact at Sungai Sembilan Health Center there are many pregnant women get antenatal care to the health worker. This study aims to determine the factors underlying the non-compliance of pregnant women in antenatal care to health workers in the area of Sungai Sembilan Health Center. Design of the study was descriptive correlation design. This research was conducted in Sungai Sembilan Health Center with 60 samples based on inclusion criteria using purposive sampling techniques. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. The univariate analysis was conducted to show frequencies and percentages and bivariate analysis was conducted by Chi-square test. The results showed that there was significant relation between parity factor (0.004) and the support of her husband (0.011), with noncompliance pregnant women in antenatal care and there is no relationship between the age factor (0.711), education (0.264), knowledge (0.188), attitude (0.726), geographic or distance of residence (0.650), and income (0.961), with the non-compliance of respondents in antenatal care. The results of this study can be a reference for health centers to improve the compliance of pregnant women antenatal so the quality of maternal health is to increasing.Keywords: pregnant mother, non-compliance, antenatal care
