Abstract

Research on the influence of problem-based learning methods really needs to be carried out. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based learning (PBL) method in improving students' writing skills. This research uses quantitative methods. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups of students, one group received conventional teaching without treatment, while the other group received treatment in the form of PBL teaching. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test writing assessments, and the results were analyzed using a t-test. The research results showed that students who received teaching using the PBL method showed significant improvements in their writing skills compared to those who received conventional learning. This research concludes that PBL can be an effective method for improving students' writing skills by providing opportunities for real-world problem-solving, collaborative learning, and revision based on feedback.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess how effective RUN BTS videos on the Weverse app work as a substitute for vocabulary enrichment activities. This study used an experimental pre-test-post-test control group design using a quantitative methodology. One senior high school class from Jakarta, Indonesia served as the research sample. For four weeks, the experimental class received treatment by watching two RUN BTS episodes on the Weverse app. Pre-test and post-tests totalling twenty questions were used to gather data. This is predicated on the pre-test mean score of sixty and the post-test mean score of seventy-nine points. Observing RUN BTS on Weverse has an impact on learning outcomes, based on the results of the rise in learning outcomes

Abstract

The aim of this study is to discover whether the use of the lyrics feature on Spotify improve students' listening abilities in learning English at SMPN 37 Jakarta. As a result, this study methodology is quantitative and uses a pre-experimental design. The sample was chosen from a seven-grade population of 288 students using cluster random sampling, with only one class, consists of 36 students. The data was acquired by a pre-test and post-test with one essay. The outcomes of this research analysis revealed that the average pre-test score was 38.33, while the average post-test score was 69.31. These results indicate that the pre-test and post-test data are regularly distributed. As a result, it is possible to conclude that Spotify's lyrics feature has an influence on improving students' listening skills.
