Abstract

In Indonesia, the number of buses has increased significantly, particularly in major cities. Along with the advancement of mobile technology, people can now purchase bus tickets online using mobile applications. One of the popular online bus ticket booking platforms is RedBus. As one of the widely used applications, it is crucial to focus on User Experience (UX) because it significantly influences user satisfaction, encouraging continued use of the application. However, usability testing of the current RedBus application revealed that users are experiencing several issues, including difficulties in using the app, which leads to low user motivation and dissatisfaction with RedBus services. As a result, a redesign was needed to improve the UX of the RedBus application. Therefore, this study aims to investigate how UX can be improved after a redesign of the application. The redesign process employed the Design Thinking method, which consists of five phases: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. UX was measured through usability testing, focusing on effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. The measurement results of the redesigned RedBus application showed a 44% increase in effectiveness, with efficiency reaching 0.079 goals per second. Additionally, user satisfaction improved by approximately 63% across all criteria. These findings provide practical insights for designers and developers looking to enhance UX in their applications. They underscore the importance of a user-centered approach and demonstrate the effectiveness of Design Thinking as a framework for successful redesigns. Moreover, this research offers a practical guideline on how to measure UX for digital products

Abstract

Centralized Exchanges (CEX) are intermediaries managed by centralized entities, offering a secure and user-friendly platform for cryptocurrency trading. Despite the rapid adoption of CEXs, particularly in Indonesia a systematic understanding of the factors influencing users’ intention to use these platforms remains limited. This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to identify, classify, and analyze the behavioural intention factors toward CEX usage from 2015 to 2025. Utilizing the PRISMA 2020 framework, the review integrates articles sourced from Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science using a validated combination of keywords. A total of 27 relevant studies were identified after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis reveals a growing body of research interest starting from 2018 and keep growing until now, with a concentration of studies in Asia, particularly in China and India. Most studies apply established models such as Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), and Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB). This systematic review identified that the predominant factors explored across studies are risk perception, trust, awareness, ease of use, and users' attitudes. However, research gaps remain in areas such as emotional experience, social influence, and regulatory context across various geographical regions. This literature review provides a comprehensive mapping of current research distributions and proposes directions for future exploration in the domain of centralized cryptocurrency exchanges

Abstract

GOBIS is a digital transportation application developed by the Surabaya City Government to facilitate public access to public transportation services. As a land transportation information system, GOBIS plays an important role in providing route, bus stop, and fleet information for urban mobility. However, user reviews and usability test results indicate that the current version of the application still has several shortcomings, particularly in interface design and user experience. The main issues include a difficult-to-interpret integrated map, the absence of an automatic route-search feature, and unclear information about bus stops and fleets. This study developed a redesigned GOBIS prototype through the five-stage Design Thinking process and evaluated the existing application and the redesigned prototype using the same task scenarios. Effectiveness was measured by task completion rate, efficiency by time-based efficiency, and perceived user experience by the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). The redesigned prototype increased task completion from 52% to 92%, representing a 40-percentage-point improvement, and increased time-based efficiency from 0.008 to 0.104 goals/sec. User satisfaction also improved after the redesign. Furthermore, assessment with the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) showed that all dimensions fell within the “excellent” category. These findings indicate that the redesigned interface successfully improves the overall quality of user interaction and enhances the user experience of GOBIS as a land transportation information system.
