Abstract

Saving electrical energy in households is an important aspect of facing the challenges of climate change and the need for better energy efficiency. The study examines how simple steps, such as using energy-efficient electrical appliances, implementing efficient daily habits, and maintaining electrical systems, can significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. By analyzing various energy-saving strategies, this study shows that small actions can have a big impact, both in terms of reducing carbon footprint and saving energy costs for households. This study aims to identify and analyze energy efficiency measures that can be applied in households to reduce energy consumption without reducing comfort. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with a cross-sectional survey design, collecting data through observations, surveys, and structured interviews on several households in urban and suburban areas. The results of the study show that the implementation of simple measures, such as replacing incandescent lamps with LED lights, turning off electronic appliances when not in use, as well as regular maintenance of household appliances, can reduce energy consumption by 20-30% and reduce costs by up to 15-25% per month. In conclusion, energy savings at the household level not only have a positive impact on the household economy but also on environmental protection. The implications of this study show that with the support of government policies and energy providers, the adoption of energy-saving technologies in society can be accelerated, contributing to the national carbon emission reduction target. It is hoped that the results of the study will provide practical guidance for individuals and families to implement effective energy-saving measures, contribute to environmental protection, and improve household economic well-being.

Abstract

AI has profoundly impacted the lives of students by transforming various aspects of their education and daily activities. AI can be a very useful learning tool in a variety of contexts. Students can access learning materials tailored to their needs and learning styles, resulting in more effective learning. AI also speeds up evaluation and scoring. However, there are also issues to contend with, such as the dangers of relying on technology, problems with data privacy, and the possibility of a decline in social interaction. This article discusses the impact of AI on college students and its implications for the future of higher education. The rapid development of technology has made the emergence of the millennial era where technology has become the need of every individual, especially youth and women in the millennial era who are faced with technological advancements, so it is required to always sort out every information obtained, in order to prevent the occurrence of bad impacts because access between the worlds is easy to obtain so that it can be a weapon for irresponsible people to attack an area from the next generation. The purpose of this study is to find out the various impacts of technological developments.

Abstract

The increasing demand for sustainable street lighting solutions has become critical due to rising energy costs, environmental concerns, and the need for reliable illumination in areas with limited grid access. Conventional street lighting systems rely heavily on fossil fuel-based electricity, contributing to carbon emissions and high operational costs, while many remote areas lack adequate lighting infrastructure due to grid connectivity limitations. Indonesia has rich natural resources and abundant energy resources. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of solar energy utilization as an alternative electric energy source for street lighting systems. The research methodology employs a qualitative approach combined with experimental analysis, utilizing a 50 WP solar panel module to evaluate electrical fluctuations and energy conversion efficiency. Key findings demonstrate that the solar panel system achieves 20% conversion efficiency under optimal conditions (1000 W/m² solar irradiance), with energy obtained from 6 hours of sunlight capable of operating street lamps for 16 hours at 30 watts total output. The system shows effective energy storage through battery integration, enabling continuous lighting operation during nighttime and cloudy weather conditions. Economic analysis reveals significant long-term cost savings despite higher initial installation costs, while environmental benefits include substantial carbon emission reductions and independence from conventional electricity grids. The research implications indicate that solar-powered street lighting systems represent a viable and sustainable solution for public lighting needs, particularly suitable for remote areas and supporting Indonesia's renewable energy transition goals and carbon emission reduction commitments.

Abstract

In the industrial world, induction motors are one of the most widely used types of electric motors to support the production process. Its popularity is due to several advantages, such as simple construction, relatively affordable prices, high efficiency, and minimal maintenance requirements compared to other types of motors. Three-phase induction motors have the characteristic of a fairly large starting current when first turned on. However, this problem can be minimized by various starting methods, such as the use of star-delta circuits, autotransformers, soft starters, and inverters (VFDs). Three-phase induction motors are the most common type of induction motor. Because of their affordable price and high efficiency, 3-phase induction motors are widely used in industry. The disadvantage of three-phase induction motors is that they cannot maintain a constant speed when the load changes rapidly due to their non-linear parameter characteristics.

Abstract

The implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) in higher education institutions is an essential step to ensure the quality of education, research, community service, and administrative governance. However, QMS processes that are still carried out manually often create barriers such as delays in reporting, scattered data, and limited transparency. This study aims to design and implement an informatics-based QMS Dashboard as a solution for integrating quality data within higher education institutions. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving 120 respondents from the academic community. The system was designed as a web-based application using the Laravel framework, MySQL database, and Chart.js for interactive data visualization. The findings show that the QMS Dashboard significantly improves the efficiency of quality management. Accreditation report preparation time decreased by up to 40%, user satisfaction reached 87%, and the effectiveness of quality evaluation increased substantially. Respondents stated that the system excels in accessibility, transparency, and data integration. Thus, the implementation of an informatics-based QMS Dashboard has proven effective in strengthening quality culture, enhancing transparency, and expediting decision-making processes in higher education. This system can serve as a reference for other institutions to support digital transformation in educational quality assurance systems.
