<![CDATA[This study is entitled "The Role of the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador in Countering Radicalism in Cyberspace". This study aims to determine one, the communication strategy of the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador in countering radicalism in cyberspace. Two, the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador program in countering radicalism in cyberspace. Three, the obstacles faced by the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador in countering radicalism in cyberspace. And four, solutions to the obstacles faced by the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador in countering radicalism in cyberspace. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method based on field research with a communication science approach (diffusion of innovation), because this study explains the phenomena that occur in the field by collecting data obtained from research informants. The results of the research found by the researcher are as follows, basically the role of the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador is to create a counternarrative that is soothing, publish counterpropaganda, with education through graphic content that invites peace in cyberspace in preventing radicalism, especially for netizens. The communication strategy carried out by the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador is to educate with creative and popular content, spread soft messages, and use data sources for content based on facts. The program carried out by the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador in countering radicalism in cyberspace is socialization by campaigning messages and invitations for peace and member regeneration. The obstacles faced by the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador are messages that are not well received and few Instagram followers, the solution from the Peace Ambassador is to create more interesting content and expand the reach of socialization. So from the data obtained by the researcher, the role of the North Sumatra Peace Ambassador has not been maximized.
