Abstract

ABSTRACT: Malaysia has implemented the first computer system in 1966. Since then, the government – through Ministry of Education – has introduced various initiatives to facilitate the adoption and diffusion of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In line with the Vision 2020, Ministry of Education has draft ways so as to integrate ICT into education system. Malaysian government has invested millions of Ringgit for the usage of ICT in education. The investments include the building of computer labs, supplying of PCs, and related peripherals, training of teachers, and development of instructional material. The research will concentrate on the utilization, self-efficacy, integration, and satisfactory level of the Islamic Religious Secondary School teachers of Malaysia. Although there are only 55 of such schools but these schools are actually a sought after schools by parents due to its capability of producing leaders academically as well as spiritually. The study will deal with issues such as self-efficacy, utilization, and training needs/provided as well as the integration of ICT in teaching and learning. The analysis is adopting principle component analysis to determine the predictors of the underlying variables as well the use of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to strengthen the analysis. Abstract

RESUME: Al-Qur’an merupakan sumber penting bagi umat Islam dalam memperkasa mutu pendidikan. Justeru, dalam mendidik manusia, beberapa strategi telah ditunjuk-ajarkan oleh Allah SWT (Subhanahu Wa-Ta’ala). Diantaranya cerita-cerita yang direkodkan untuk diteladani serta memberi pengajaran yang amat bermanfaat kepada manusia. Di antara paparan cerita penting yang telah direkodkan oleh Allah SWT dalam kandungan Al-Qur’an ialah mengenai seorang pendidik agung yang bernama Luqman al-Hakim. Artikel ini menganalisa nilai-nilai murni yang ditekankan oleh Luqman al-Hakim dalam pendidikan terhadap anaknya, sebagaimana tercatat didalam surah Luqman ayat 13 hingga 19. Beberapa nilai murni yang berbentuk universal, yang telah ditegaskan oleh Luqman al-Hakim didalam mendidik anaknya, dapat menggariskan satu panduan pendidikan yang signifikan kepada masyarakat Islam masa kini. Diantaranya adalah teras keimanan yang tidak mensyirikkan Allah SWT dan menghormati ibu-bapa yang berada di kedudukan yang kedua selepas kepercayaan kepada Allah. Begitu juga penerapan sifat taqwa dan waspada terhadap Allah, mendirikan sholat, serta seterusnya membuat makruf dan mencegah kemungkaran. Corak pendidikan yang diaplikasikan itu adalah munasabah dan tetap unggul sehingga ke hari ini. Oleh itu, asas-asas nilai yang direkodkan didalam Al-Qur’an surah Luqman wajar dijadikan panduan oleh para pendidik dan ibu-bapa, juga oleh pihak-pihak yang berkaitan.KATA KUNCI: Pendidikan karakter, nilai-nilai murni, pendidikan dalam Islam, Al-Qur’an dan surah Luqman, serta amalan taqwa dan akhlak mulia. ABSTRACT: This article entitled “Applications of Noble Values Based on Themes of Luqman al-Hakim in the Al-Quran as the Basic of Education”. The Al-Quran is an important source of empowerment for Muslims in educational quality. Thus, in educating people, several strategies have been lessoned by Allah SWT (Subhanahu Wa-Ta’ala). Among the stories are recorded to emulate and give a useful lesson to the people. Between display important story that has been recorded by God in the content of Al-Quran is the great educator named Luqman al-Hakim. This article analyzes the values emphasized by Luqman al-Hakim in the education of his children, as stated in surah Luqman verse 13 to 19. Some values are universal, which has been emphasized by Luqman al-Hakim in educating his children, can outline a significant educational guide to the Muslim community today. Among them is a core belief in the only One God Almighty and without associating Him with others, and respect the parents who are in the second position after the trust in God. Similarly, application of piety and beware of Allah, establish prayer, and thus make what is right and forbidding evil. Type of education that applied is reasonably and fixed superior to this day.
