Abstract

The utilization of solar energy has emerged as a critical solution for improving energy efficiency and achieving sustainability in urban households. This study conducts a bibliometric review to explore the research landscape on solar energy adoption, focusing on technological advancements, socio-economic implications, environmental benefits, and policy frameworks. The analysis identifies key themes such as photovoltaic innovations, smart grid integration, and energy storage technologies, as well as the influence of government incentives and community-based projects on adoption rates. While solar energy offers significant environmental and economic benefits, challenges such as high installation costs, energy variability, and aesthetic concerns remain. The findings highlight the need for interdisciplinary approaches and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and decentralized systems, to overcome these barriers. This review provides valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to advance solar energy utilization and contribute to sustainable urban development.

Abstract

With the fast development of the digital world, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become an important element in the research domain nowadays. This research seeks to explore how the IoT literature developed from 2010 to 2026 via the bibliometric analysis of publications in Scopus databases. Using VOSviewer software to analyze co-authorship network, citation network, and keywords co-occurrence network, this study is intended to illustrate the structural features of the IoT literature in terms of its intellectural, social, and conceptual aspects. The findings indicate that IoT studies are characterized by close relations between researchers around the world, resulting in several major knowledge diffusion centers. In the context of citations analysis, the major sources not only contribute to technological development but also address issues like the sustainable environment, digital governance, and socio-economic transformations. As regards keywords co-occurrence analysis, the main groups of IoT research are smart environments, technology, engineering, and socio-technical studies. Overlay and density maps point out that there is a change in time concerning the focus of research towards more advanced concepts in the field, such as artificial intelligence in IoT, big data analysis, industry 4.0, and sustainable development. It can be concluded that IoT research is becoming more mature and multidisciplinary in nature, focusing more on addressing issues on a global scale. This paper will contribute to the existing literature on IoT research through a thorough systematic and long-term analysis of IoT studies.

Abstract

This s‍tudy ex‍amin⁠es the re⁠presentation of ar⁠t​ific⁠ial intelligenc⁠e (‍AI), the Interne⁠t of T⁠hings (IoT), and pre⁠ci⁠sion‌ agri‌culture‌ in the scholarly literature per‌taining⁠ to the palm o‌il busines⁠s.‍ A bibl‍iometric technique wa⁠s empl⁠oyed to o‍bt‌ain li⁠terature indexed in major databases from 2000 to 2‍024‍, utilizing spe​cif​ic search strings that‍ combined​ palm oil termin​ology wit‍h keywords relate‌d to AI, IoT, and smart f​arming. F‍ollowing⁠ screening and⁠ data cleansin‌g, performanc‌e a​nalysi⁠s an⁠d science-mapping me​thod⁠ologies​ were employe‍d using VOSvi⁠ewe​r and​ Biblioshiny to investigate publication pa‌tterns, signif‌icant documents, collaboration networks, and key‌word structures‍.⁠  The findings indicate a swiftly advancing researc‍h fr⁠on​ti‍er cent​ered on the in‌tersection o​f IoT, palm oil, and s‌ustainabil‌ity, wherein sensor-‌base‌d monitor‌ing⁠, inte‌lligent platforms, and machine-learning techn⁠ologie​s are utilized for p​lantation management an‍d environ‍m‌ental supe⁠rvision.  Malays‍ia and Indonesi‍a⁠ predominate⁠ in the nati‌onal network, bolstered by interdisc⁠iplinary collabora‍tions among e⁠ngineering, c‌om‍puter sc⁠ience⁠, and agriculture de‌partments.  Nonetheless, i‌nc​lus​ive innovatio‍n and so‍cial factors​ are still inade‍qu⁠at​el‌y exa⁠mined, since the majority of r‌e‌sea‍rc​h emphasizes‍ technical feasi‍bility and productiv⁠ity over sma‍l​l‌h‌older integ‍ration or​ governan‌ce c‍o⁠ncerns. The⁠ report finishes by d‌eli⁠ne⁠ating practic‍al consequen⁠ces for indust⁠ry and poli‍cymakers, theoret⁠ical contributions to d⁠ig‍ital agr⁠i‌culture and innova‍tion-ecosystem research⁠,⁠ and objectives fo⁠r future‌ endeavors‌ on sustainable,‌ data-driven p⁠alm‍ oil systems.

Abstract

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research trends on the Internet of Things in security and monitoring systems using publications indexed in the Scopus database. The objective is to map the intellectual structure, thematic evolution, and collaboration patterns that shape the development of this research field. Bibliographic data were analyzed using VOSviewer to visualize keyword co-occurrence, temporal trends, density distribution, co-authorship networks, institutional collaboration, and country partnerships. The findings indicate that the internet of things serves as the central research hub, closely linked with machine learning, cybersecurity, authentication, and monitoring system architectures. Temporal analysis shows a transition from foundational intrusion detection and network security topics toward intelligent, application-oriented solutions supported by blockchain and data privacy frameworks. Density mapping highlights the convergence of AI-driven analytics with real-time monitoring environments, while collaboration analysis reveals strong research contributions from India and expanding global partnerships involving the United States, United Kingdom, China, and European countries. The results suggest that the field is evolving toward adaptive and context-aware security frameworks embedded within domain-specific monitoring applications such as healthcare and smart agriculture. This study contributes by providing a comprehensive overview of the knowledge structure and future research directions in IoT-based security and monitoring systems.
