Abstract

This study explores the influence of Social Science (IPS) learning through inquiry methods on elementary school students. In education, an important role is played to shape the character and knowledge of students, preparing them for future challenges. Innovative approaches to learning are key to creating an environment that supports better understanding, increasing students' interest and learning activities, especially in social studies subjects. This study uses the literature study method to analyze previous research journals related to the influence of social studies learning through inquiry methods. The results of the analysis show that the inquiry method is effective in improving students' understanding of concepts and skills, with the use of media considered important to make learning more interesting. In the implementation of inquiry methods in social studies teaching, the use of media helps overcome student boredom, increase learning motivation, and explain the material better. In addition, the online-based Inquiry learning model also contributes positively to students' learning outcomes and argument skills. The relationship between learning methods and student learning motivation is a key aspect, where students with high motivation tend to be more active and like to discuss, according to the characteristics of the inquiry method. Conversely, students with low motivation tend to be hesitant and lack confidence, hampering their ability in social studies practice. The development of social inquiry strategies includes social aspects in the classroom, the formation of hypothesis formulations, and testing hypotheses with facts. The advantage of the inquiry method lies in the development of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in a balanced manner, in accordance with the development of modern learning psychology.

Abstract

Visual ability plays a central role in the learning and guidance process. Visually impaired children often encounter difficulties in achieving minimum learning outcomes due to the limitations of their vision. Mathematics, as an essential subject, is sometimes perceived as challenging and less engaging by elementary school students, including those with special needs. To enhance understanding and academic performance, the teaching methods for mathematics need to be tailored to the students' needs. Specifically, visually impaired children require an approach that leverages their sensory abilities, such as hearing and tactile perception. This study explores three effective mathematics teaching methods for visually impaired children: jarimatika, drill, and blokjes media. The jarimatika method teaches students to use their fingers as counting tools, while the drill method emphasizes repetitive exercises to improve accuracy and speed in arithmetic. Blokjes media are employed to train arithmetic operations, especially downward addition series. Each method has a positive impact on the learning abilities of visually impaired students. Therefore, the selection of suitable mathematics teaching methods and adjustments to the students' conditions are crucial. This research provides insights into the effectiveness of the jarimatika, drill, and blokjes media methods in enhancing the mathematical learning outcomes of visually impaired children. The study utilizes a literature review method based on previous research and underscores the importance of teachers recognizing the specificity of each student and choosing appropriate teaching methods to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of product and service quality on customer satisfaction in Mie Ayam Mas Kalimin MSMEs, Banten. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach by processing data from direct observation of information provided by salespeople and customers. The results showed that product quality, which includes taste, cleanliness, and presentation, as well as service quality such as comfort and convenience, made a significant contribution to positive perception and customer loyalty. Despite facing various challenges due to the pandemic, MSMEs are able to survive while maintaining quality. The recommendation for MSME actors is to improve the quality of products and services through training and innovation. The results of this study support the theory that customer satisfaction increases along with expectations of products and services.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model in Natural Science (IPA) learning, especially on the human digestive system material, and to measure its impact on the learning interest of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Serdang 2. The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental one group pretest posttest design. The study involved 30 students with a saturation sampling technique, where all members of the population were sampled. Data were collected through pretest and posttest, as well as observation sheets to assess student learning activities. The results showed a significant increase in students' learning interest, involvement, participation, and discussion skills after the implementation of the PBL model, with p values ​​of 0.001, 0.002, 0.003, and 0.004, respectively. These findings indicate that the implementation of the PBL model has succeeded in increasing students' learning interest and activities.

Abstract

Plastic waste is an environmental problem that has a serious impact on ecosystemsand human health. The low awareness of elementary school students towardsplastic waste management shows the importance of environmental education froman early age. This study aims to analyze the influence of plastic waste hazardeducation on the knowledge and attitudes of SDN Serang 17 students. The studyused a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pre-test post-test controlgroup design. The research subjects consisted of students of SDN Serang 17 whowere divided into experimental groups and control groups. The research instrumentsare in the form of knowledge questionnaires and attitude questionnaires that havebeen validated. The experimental group was given education on the dangers ofplastic waste through interactive learning, while the control group followed the usuallearning. The results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge andattitudes in the experimental group compared to the control group. Thus, educationon the dangers of plastic waste is effective in increasing understanding and formingattitudes of caring for the environment in elementary school students.
