Abstract

This research was motivated by students' lack of interest in reading, resulting in students' low literacy skills in learning Indonesian. This research aims to develop Big Book learning media for learning Indonesian with material about being careful everywhere.This type of research and development uses research and development (R&D). This Big Book development model uses the ADDIE learning model.The results of the development of the Big Book media were declared very valid based on the results obtained from the validator which were obtained with an average of 95.15% in the very valid category, practicality results with an average of 90.5% were categorized as very practical and for the results of student effectiveness with an average of 91.8% categorized as very effective. Thus, it can be concluded that the Big Book media created is valid, practical and effective for teachers to use in teaching and learning activities.
