Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the implementation of the character education of thenational spirit in integrated thematic learning at 46 Public Schools in SingkawangCity. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjectsof this study were principals, teachers and participants in SD Negeri 46 KotaSingkawang. The data was collected by observing, interviewing and documenting.Data analysis was carried out in stages: data reduction, data display, and drawingconclusions. Data validity checking techniques using technical triangulation anddata source triangulation. The results show that the analysis of national spiritcharacter education in thematic learning at 46 Elementary Schools in Singkawangis as follows: (1) the planning is that the teacher has included the character of thenational spirit in the lesson plan, the components in the lesson plan are inaccordance with existing guidelines, (2) In its implementation, students havecarried out activities related to the character of the national spirit, so that anattitude of tolerance and mutual respect is achieved (3) in assessment activities,the teacher carries out authentic assessments and attitude assessments. Assessmentof students' attitudes, namely honesty, discipline, responsibility, courtesy and thecharacter of the national spirit.Keywords: Character of the Spirit of Nationality, Integrated Thematic Learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of disciplinary, creative andresponsibility characters through PAIKEM in class III SDN 58 TOLONGLandak. The formulation of the problem described in this study is how theteacher's planning for learning with PAIKEM, teacher implementation ofPAIKEM learning, the results of the integration of students' discipline,creative and responsibility characters after studying with PAIKEM,obstacles encountered in the implementation of PAIKEM and efforts toovercome obstacles and results learn students through PAIKEM. Thisresearch is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjectsin this study were principal, teacher, and students. Data collection wascarried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Dataanalysis was carried out in stages: data reduction, data display, anddrawing conclusions. The technique of checking the validity of the data usedtriangulation. The results showed that the character of discipline, creativity,and responsibility through integrated PAIKEM at the planning,implementation, and evaluation stages of learning had been carried out bythe teacher. The implementation of learning by applying the character ofdiscipline, creativity and responsibility is carried out by the teacher byapplying PAIKEM which is carried out through the example of the teacherand habituation activities carried out every day, so that it can build thecharacter of students towards a better direction, with continuous guidanceand motivation from the teacher.Keywords: Discipline, Creative, Responsibility, PAIKEM

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the analysis of character education for reading fondness in the culture of Singkawang Public School 46. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were principals, teachers and participants in SD Negeri 46 Kota Singkawang. The data was collected by observing, interviewing and documenting. Data analysis was carried out in stages: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Data validity checking techniques using technical triangulation and data source triangulation. The results showed that the analysis of character education for reading fondness in elementary school culture was as follows: (1) the planning was that the teacher had included the character of reading fondness in the lesson plan, the components in the lesson plan were in accordance with the existing guidelines (2) in practice the students had perform activities related to the character who likes reading. (3) in the evaluation of the results of the teacher, assessing the attitudes of students, namely the attitude of characters who like reading. (4) the obstacles faced are that students' reading interest is still lacking or not very enthusiastic, then there are still limited facilities and infrastructure that support reading activities.Keywords: Character Analysis, Love to Read, In Elementary School Culture
