Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed at learning of vocal exercise in the Performing Arts Study Program at Tanjungpura University in Pontianak, the teaching techniques used the variety of teaching methods from the lecture aimed for made the students more easily absorbed in vocal exercise. The purpose of conducted this research is to found out how the learning of vocal exercise in the Performing Arts Study Program in FKIP Untan Pontianak. The method that the researcher used in this research is descriptive analysis method and qualitative approach. As the data source, the data source in this research is the informant who truly understood and knew about the learning of vocal exercise in the Performing Arts Study Program of FKIP, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. The technique that the researcher used is interview observation with the lecturer of the Performing Arts Study Program of FKIP Tanjungpura University, the data collection tools are used the cellphone camera and cellphone recording. After the researcher conducted this research, the researcher concluded that the learning of vocal exercise in the Performing Arts Study Program at FKIP Tanjungpura University in Pontianak included some variety of subjects matter, namely: Breathing, Warm Up (vocalizing), Vocal Exercise, Articulation, Intonation, Vibration, Body Attitude, Song Carrying, Fhrasering, and Expression (sentiments). In addition to the etudes taught some songs are used in supporting the learning of vocal exercise, namely: Indonesia Pusaka, Gugur Bunga, Tanah Airku, Rayuan Pohon Kelapa, Pantang Mundur, Syukur, dan Kulihat Ibu Pertiwi.
