Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan fokus utama untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PjBL-STEM menggunakan Algodoo terhadap pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode quasieksperimental dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi yang dipilih yaitu peserta didik Semester 2 Kelas IX di SMPN 2 Mundu Tahun 2023/2024. Sampel penelitian ini melibatkan 20 peserta didik dari kelas IX D dan IX E. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes essay dan angket respon peserta didik. Metode pengolahan data menggunakan uji prasyarat, uji independent sample t-test dan uji NGain. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor pretest dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen dari 36. 8 poin menjadi 73 poin dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0. 57 poin termasuk golongan sedang. Sedangkan berdasarkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif setiap peserta didik mengalami peningkatan pada seluruh indikator, dengan rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 32 poin dan 38. 38 poin serta rata-rata skor posttest sebesar 72. 8 poin dan 73. 63 poin. Masing-masing N-Gainnya adalah 0. 60 poin dan 0. 55 poin termasuk golongan sedang. Peserta didik menunjukkan respon sangat positif pada model PjBL-STEM menggunakan Algodoo dengan skor rata – rata pada setiap aspek sebesar 84. 13%. Aspek menarik memperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 88. 75%, aspek ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran sebesar 83. 33% dan aspek kemudahan sebesar 80. 31%.This research was carried out with the main focus to determine the influence of the PjBL-STEM model using Algodoo on science learning. This study applies a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The selected population is class IX Semester 2 students at SMPN 2 Mundu in 2023/2024. The sample of this study involved 20 students from classes IX D and IX E. Data collection techniques were carried out through essay tests and student response questionnaires. The data processing method uses prerequisite test, independent sample t-test and N-Gain test. Overall, the results of the study showed an increase in the average pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class from 36. 8 points to 73 points with an N-Gain score of 0. 57 points, included in the medium category. Meanwhile, based on critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills, each student experienced an improvement in all indicators, with an average pretest score of 32 points and 38. 38 points and an average posttest score of 72. 8 points and 73. 63 points. The N-Gain is 0. 60 points and 0. 55 points, respectively, and is included in the medium category. Students showed a very positive response to the PjBL-STEM model using Algodoo with an average score of 84. 13% in each aspect. The interesting aspect obtained an average score of 88. 75%, the aspect of achieving learning objectives was 83. 33% and the aspect of convenience was 80. 31%.
