Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the principal's strategy in shaping the character of student discipline in SD Negeri 4 Pendopo Barat. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation, involving principals, teachers, students, and parents. The results of the study show that school principals implement various strategic programs, such as morning habituation, school culture development, role modeling, and periodic monitoring, which involve all components of the school. In addition, the role of teachers and parental involvement has also proven significant in supporting the success of discipline programs. This research shows that the implementation of planned and collaborative strategies not only improves student discipline, but also has the potential to improve the overall school climate and support the development of positive character in society. Thus, this study underscores the importance of collaboration between schools, parents, and the community in building a sustainable character of student discipline.
